A Cocker Spaniel! These dogs are playful and affectionate but easy to train - perfect for Sherlock to teach them tricks. They enjoy walking and have a lot of energy so you all go on long walks in the evening sun. Occasionally Sherlock will take them on a case as well (almost like he thinks he can teach them to be a mini version of himself).
JOHN

A Shih Tzu! This dog breed is loyal and brave - just like John. They are so cute and fun but are also gentle and, when needed to be, independent which is good for when John is helping out on a case. But as soon as he gets home the dog bounds up to him and he gives them a big cuddle.

An Australian Shepherd! This dog is good natured and affectionate which settles him down a bit and makes him more responsible as he looks after the dog. He loves teaching them tricks and because they are so intelligent they learn really fast. This dog is also very protective - just like Jim.
