You argue mainly because he can be so blunt and rude at times. When he's stressed he slips up, insulting the person closest to him. You raise an eyebrow, reminding him of your previous argument. He doesn't always apologise, but he will make an effort to be nicer - even remembering manners like "please" and "thank you".

He closes up after an argument, taking some space to think everything over. For a while he may seem distant, but after blowing off some steam you are both ready to talk about things and take steps to make things better.

He admits what he's done wrong, and though he may seem blunt and unbothered, he really wants to fix things and move on - he doesn't like that he upsets you and he wants to make it right without hurting you any more.

He goes for a walk, needing to calm down and think things through. He doesn't want to say anything to make the situation worse, so taking a moment to get some air is a smart move.

He gets really sassy, rolling his eyes and raising his eyebrows. You tell him he's being rude so he breathes deeply, calming himself down and apologising before proceeding to explain himself politely and logically.
