Hush. This film is about a deaf, mute woman who lives alone in a secluded cabin as a writer. The whole movie is about how she tries to escape the house when a man is trying to kill her from outside. Sherlock likes that both the protagonist and antagonist are smart - making the tension well earned and more suspenseful.

Cargo. This film does include zombies, but the main focus is on a man who tries to keep his daughter safe. John feels the man's struggle, vowing to do anything for his own child. The ending is bitter sweet and evokes a lot of emotion from you both.
MORIARTY

Fractured. This psychological thriller is intense. A man has lost his little girl and wife in a hospital that seem to not want to help him. The twists and turns in this man's journey are incredibly shocking but make complete sense. The film really kept Jim thinking, so he enjoyed it a lot.
LESTRADE

Believe me, the abduction of Lisa Mcvey. Based on a true story, this film both enrages Greg, impresses him and disgusts him. The young girl is abducted, but instead of giving up she fights until the end, collecting as much information as she can. She is such a smart, brave girl and Greg has so much respect for her.
MYCROFT

The platform. This film is a social science fiction horror, and a metaphor for capitalism and the class system. It's a very interesting watch that not only holds it's own story, but comments on society as a whole - intriguing to Mycroft.
