Prepare for a bunch of noise. If you won't make any, then he'll make twice as much until you tell him to stop - breaking your silence. He can be unbearably annoying, but you try to remember that he struggles to read the room sometimes.

You're not very good at giving the silent treatment; well, at least not as good as him. He makes you laugh too much for it to stay for long, and then he'll joke about your "pathetic attempt" before apologising about upsetting you in the first place.

He'll do anything - and I mean anything - to get you to talk to him again. Beg on his knees? Tell him where to kneel. Jump? Tell him how high. Dress up? Give him a costume. Kill a guy? Yeah sure, bullets or blades? He just really doesn't like it when you ignore him.

He'll give you the space you need, but at work he'll be completely out of it and beside himself with guilt or worry. He can't concentrate. He can't relax. He misses you, and hates it when your upset enough to ignore him.

He might not even notice at first, but when he does he's not angry. . . He's disappointed. Patiently, he'll sit and wait until your ready to talk to him again, and when you finally do he won't hold a grudge against you or anything.
