He's taking you to live off the grid. He knows how to get food, how to build a hut, how to make tools and first aid. So he'll take you as far away from big towns and cities as possible, and only ever journey back in order to get absolutely essential items. He's calm, prepared and ready, and though the world is ending, you feel safe with him.

You're both good at fighting, so there's no doubt you'd see the world even after the apocalypse if you play it smart. You stick with Sherlock because three is better than two, but are very very wary about helping anyone else. You get away from major towns and set up camp in a big cabin. You have weapons and plenty of food if you ration it, so you're not overly worried about that aspect.
MORIARTY

You didn't know it was coming, and all you have is your weapons. Luckily you and Jim are both more than capable of mowing down enemies, and with the threat of each other's death, you fight even harder. Jim doesn't have any property outside of the city, but you stay for as long as you can to fight and loot as much as you can before going into the next city. Along the way you see a lot of death, but it doesn't faze you anymore.
LESTRADE

You're terrified and neither of you are prepared for this. All you know is that you love each other, and no matter what, neither of you will leave the other behind. You get a car and Greg's hand gun and get as far away from the city as possible. The journey is long and made even more dangerous with the panic of other people. Eventually you get away and stock up on food before finding a bunker you can hide out in for a while.

Mycroft saw it coming. Not from any data or facts, but he just felt it. So he warned as many people as he could and took you out to another country where he thought you'd be more safe. He took his family too, and as many people as would listen to him. Then, he stocked up on supplies and you all hid out in a large mansion cabin he brought in the woods. You run the house like a mini society and share duties all together.
