He let you tag along with him and John on cases, and found it amusing when you tried to solve it yourself. You'd walk around with one of his spare magnifying glasses that he gave you, and concentrate as hard as you could - lip biting and eyebrows furrowed. He began to refrain from solving them too fast, purely to watch you try to do it. One day, he let you have your moment. He watched as you pieced together your deductions into a coherent and logical version of events. That's when he realised that he didn't just enjoy your company and watching you solve cases. He loved it - more than solving the cases himself.

John almost died, and Sherlock wasn't there to save him. Not until you realised something was off and warned him. But you wouldn't let Sherlock go alone. Despite facing the unknown, you followed Sherlock with John's gun, finger held lightly over the trigger. That day, you saved him. He was too shocked to thank you properly at the time, and you waived any attempt at an apology away. But now you're home, and he sees you properly, taking your coat off and replacing his gun in the draw, he knows that you are the one.

For ages, you were just the girl he saw going to work. Up the road in the morning, back down in the evening. As the weather changed, he liked to see how your clothes did. Never trying to be creepy, just politely observing from a distance. One day he decided that he wants to get to know you, so he introduced himself. You were unlike anyone he had ever seen, and he really doesn't want to mess this up.

Greg saw you confront Sherlock. He said something insulting and you clapped back hard without blinking. Greg was amused at first, then realised how attractive you were. Feisty and pretty. Suddenly talking to you became difficult, and he blushed every time you looked at him. So you asked him out - it was obvious that he caught feelings.

All of a sudden, he started to feel hot whenever you walked into the room. He'd stumble over words when you asked him a question. He'd be thinking about you contently. Obviously he had never felt this before, so he researched it, but his symptoms came up with no illness. John saw his strange behaviour one day and called him out on it, saying that he liked you. It all clicked for Mycroft when he heard it, and actually laughed and agreed. Now all he has to figure out is what the next step is.
