He is always very blunt, and this situation is no different. He will make a loud noise; be that shouting your name, fumbling around with something particularly loud or even firing bullets (in extreme cases) at the wall.
JOHN

If you're in conversation with someone else, he will join in and say something funny or sassy to make you laugh. But if you're busy doing something else, he will simply say your name - knowing you will look up at him with a smile.
MORIARTY

He will either do something to make you laugh, or something to annoy you. Normally, he hits both of these points by puling faces at you. He's childish and annoying, but so ridiculous that you can't help but laugh.
LESTRADE

He uses his hands to get your attention. Usually he places a hand on your shoulder or back, but other times he might put his arm around your waist and plant a kiss on your head.
MYCROFT

Mycroft has gotten into the habit of politely clearing his throat when he wants your attention, usually followed by a small smile when you look up to him.
