Its about the Ships children of France and Britain, Spain and Portugal, and Canada and Mexico. They were friends and one day, after they figure out Grace Accidently murdered someone, David and Elizabeth help her escape police time and time again, Multiple times ending in them having to kill someone. The main character in Elizabeth, who is 16 and how she one day snaps while they were on the run and loses her mind.
