Sister Rivalry (Story 4 - Part 3)

With Venno: 

The Velociraptor could only sit and listen to everything her sister had to say about their family, how their mother started going to work more, how their brother developed anger issues, and how their father had basically left home on a hunting trip and never specified when he would be back. 

It was shocking, to say the least. 

Never would she have thought her by just simply leaving home, her family would practically fall apart. 

She then thought about how a well oiled machine with every part accounted for would break down when one piece broke. 

Venno closed her eyes and sighed, the Velociraptor patting her sister’s shoulder to try and comfort her.

“It’s alright, Slendithera. I never thought that you guys would fall apart without me like that. I just….I really needed to get away from home so that…you know…” started Venno, the Velociraptor suddenly getting memories of what had happened the last time she had seen her ex-boyfriend, the Python having literally snapped at her for no reason due to his jealous and bitter nature.  

Slendithera’s frown deepened as she nodded, her eyes closed. 

“I know, you don’t have to say it. Eric was a fucking asshole, and he got what he deserved when you spat your toxic venom saliva at his face. You can consider that payback for him breaking your horn” said Slendithera bitterly as she glanced up at where Venno’s half horn was on her head. 

The Velociraptor nodded as she brought a hand up to gently touch the broken half, having recalled how hard she was shoved onto the concrete ground by the Python. 

“I guess you could say that. His mother was nice enough to me” admitted Venno as she shrugged. 

Slendithera nodded, the Porcelain Monster sighing. 

“I just hope that they’ll be alright and they don’t worry too much. I DID leave them a note before I left, but I still think I should have added some more reassuring lines of encouragement. I probably should have told mom about what my plans were, but I just couldn't bring myself to actually tell her” said Slendithera mostly to herself, the Porcelain Monster completely missing the fact that Venno’s eyes had widened at this, the Velociraptor now going stiff. 

Slendithera then turned to her sister, having found her oddly silent. 

Venno could only stare at her in shock and anger, trying to hold it back. 

Slendithera took notice of this, causing her to frown worriedly. 

“Uh...Venno, you ok?” asked the Porcelain Monster, a little timid and worried. 

“Are you kidding me!?” yelled Venno angrily, unable to hold it back any more. 

Slendithera jumped in fright, having a feeling that she had done something wrong. 

“Slendithera, you should have talked to mom about this first! Are you telling me you just wrote a note and left!?” exclaimed Venno, refraining from snarling as her tail whipped angrily against the sofa.

Slendithera was startled and confused by this, but then blushed brightly and hid her face. 

“I….I’m sorry?” asked the Porcelain Monster, unsure as to why she was even saying sorry to her sister in the first place when it should be their mom she should be saying this to. 

Venno growled, losing her patience slightly as she tried to make sense of this. 

“It’s not me you need to say sorry to, it’s mom! She’s probably worried SICK about you, and she has no way of knowing if you’re ok because you don’t have a cellphone! Do you know her phone number? Maybe I can give her a call. I should have gotten her number before I left” asked Venno quickly as she pulled out her cellphone, the model being one of the newer ones.
