The Club's Bounty (Story 11 - Part 5)

With Venno:

The Velociraptor had only been on stage for about two minutes before she snuck a quick glance up at the window to the office. 

She was happy to see that it appeared that the Bull was watching, his dark silhouette peeking out through the open gap in the curtains. 

As the song ended, the Bull closed the curtains, allowing Venno to wrap up her performance. 

Venno decided to grab the pole that was in the center of the stage and do one quick twirl around it, having not used it the entire time. This earned her a loud cheer and applause from the crowd watching, causing her to smile. 

The Velociraptor did a quick nod to indicate that the plan had worked, to which the two Neons nodded in understanding before they finally ended the song. 

Breathing a sigh of relief now that the first part of the plan had worked, Venno waited on stage as Roxxane came over, DJ remaining at the DJ booth so that he could manage the music, not wanting the Bull to see that he had left it on its own once more. 

“That was great, how did you learn to sing and dance like that?” asked Roxxane, clearly impressed that Venno was able to perform so well that anyone could mistake her for a professional. 

Venno shrugged, unsure herself as to where she got her skills. 

“If I’m being honest, I rarely ever danced before, plus I’m a Bounty Hunter so I have no reason to. Maybe I got it from one of my family members? I’m not too sure” admitted Venno, making sure to speak silently in case the Bull appeared beside them without warning. 

Roxxane nodded in understanding before she stiffened up in shock at the sound of someone clearing their throat behind her. 

Whirling around, Roxxane smiled as best she could at the sight of the Bull walking up the steps to meet them. 

“Hi there, boss. Sorry about my boyfriend cancelling the scheduled performance, but he did find someone new and thought it would be a great idea to introduce her. Perhaps you would like her to come perform once a week, too” said Roxxane, trying to remain as calm as she could, the female Neon hoping to please the Bull. 

“Hmm, well I was disappointed at first, but then when I saw this young lady and her marvelous dance moves, all of my disappointment faded away. Tell your boyfriend that he did good, this time” said the Bull, frowning at first, but then smiled as he walked past Roxxane and over to Venno. 

Venno managed to remain calm as the Bull stood tall, knowing that if she hesitated or showed any sign of weakness then he would surely catch on that something was wrong. 

“It’s a pleasure performing for one of the best dance club owners in the country. I must admit, this is my first real performance in one of these things, but I believe that I’ve got what it takes to make a weekly performance” said Venno, smiling confidently as she rested a hand on her hip. 

The Bull chuckled as he patted her shoulder before leading her off the stage and towards the doorway to the lobby, leaving a worried Roxxane on the stage. 

“My, you are confident in what you do. How about twice a week, considering you’re a lot better than I expected. We can continue this conversation in my office, if you’d like” said the Bull, smirking proudly. 

Venno chuckled, knowing that this was it. 

“Of course we can. Lead the way” said Venno. 

With Dexx: 

The Anglerfish glared at the Bull as he led Venno out of the dance room and into the lobby, most likely taking her up to his office so that they may speak more in private.
