With Venno:
The Velociraptor had just returned from another hunt, having just gotten off the train with a Rabbit in handcuffs.
“If you’re going to try and run away, at least don’t try hanging off the back of a moving bus. Now you’re coming into the Bounty Hunter Agency wrapped in bandages because I had to take you to the hospital” said Venno, the Velociraptor referring to the Rabbit’s bandaged arms, legs, and head, having accidentally gotten flung off the back of the bus when it made a sudden sharp turn.
The Rabbit scoffed and glanced away, one of his ears lowered.
“I’ll keep that in mind next time” muttered the Rabbit, disappointed in himself for even trying to escape the way he did, having completely embarrassed himself in front of her.
Venno just sighed and shook her head before managing to spot Jerry, the older Spider waiting near the entrance to the train station.
Venno smiled as she walked over to where the older Spider was waiting, the Velociraptor pushing the bounty along.
“Hey boss, I managed to catch the bounty” said Venno, the Velociraptor patting the Rabbit’s shoulder.
Jerry just eyed the Rabbit in confusion at the sight of his bandaged arms, legs and head, the older Spider taking a quick puff from his cigarette.
“What happened to him?” asked Jerry, the older Spider wanting to know what happened.
Venno shrugged, the Velociraptor allowing Jerry to grab the bounty’s arm as they began walking out of the train station.
“Well, when I dropped in and said who I was, he tried to jump up on the back of a bus as it was driving away. Unfortunately for him, he got flung off when the bus turned too quickly and nearly got hit by some cars passing by. Luckily he didn’t get run over, but he did still get hurt” said Venno, the Velociraptor explaining what had happened.
She purposefully left out the fact that the Rabbit lost some fur along his arms and legs, and that he had asked her if it was alright to bandage them, having only really injured his head when he hit it into a parked vehicle.
Jerry just took a quick puff from his cigarette before tossing it out in the nearby trash can as they passed by, the older Spider nodding in understanding.
“Alright, well he tried but failed, that’s all that matters. Want us to tell the person who put the bounty on you, or not?” asked Jerry, chuckling as he patted the Rabbit’s shoulder before shoving him into the back of the waiting car outside the train station.
The Rabbit winced as he hit his head on top of the doorway, having not expected to already arrive at the waiting vehicle.
“No, I prefer if you do not, please. I would really appreciate it” said the Rabbit, scowling angrily.
Jerry just chuckled, the older Spider seeming to be in a better mood than usual.
“We’ll see about that” said the older Spider, patting the roof of the car before closing the door, allowing the driver to drive back to the Bounty Hunter Agency.
As the second car rolled up for the two, Venno could only frown worriedly as she hugged her stomach.
Jerry noticed this quickly, the older Spider now frowning.
“Are you alright?” asked Jerry worriedly, his head tilted to the side and an eyebrow raised.
Venno nodded, the Velociraptor smiling weakly, clearly forcing it.
