The Bounty and the Hunter (Story 19 - Part 5)

With Venno: 

Both the Velociraptor and Anglerfish were both shocked and startled when the sky above them lit up with a bright light and bolts of electricity. 

“What the fuck was that?” exclaimed Dexx, the Anglerfish trying to find what the cause of the brightness had been. 

Venno quickly recognized her father’s trusty companion, the Thunder Falcon swooping down and squawking a few times as if to ask if they were alright. 

“That’s my dad’s Thunder Falcon” said Venno, the Velociraptor smiling excitedly. 

Dexx just glanced over at her, the Anglerfish tilting his head to the side in confusion. 

“Does he not have a name?” asked Dexx, the Anglerfish returning his attention back to the Thunder Falcon, the Elemental Bird remaining near them. 

Venno shrugged, the Velociraptor now confused. 

“I actually have no idea. I never hear my dad call him by a name, so I guess he doesn’t have one” said Venno. 

Dexx just nodded in understanding. 

With Jerry: 

The older Spider was shocked to see that Venno and the Anglerfish had been most likely knocked overboard, the large riverboat sailing away from them. 

“My daughter!” exclaimed Queen Pin, the Voodoo Doll horrified to see that her daughter was no longer on the boat and was most likely in danger if left in the river. 

Thorn quickly glanced around and spotted a wooden lifeboat hanging just out over the water nearby, giving him an idea. 

“Quickly, get into the lifeboat” exclaimed Thorn, the Skeletal Viking rushing over and jumping in. 

Queen Pin nodded, the Voodoo Doll following close behind. 

“Oh, this is so exciting” said Slendithera, the Porcelain Monster and Toxic Sludge both getting into the lifeboat. 

Jerry sighed, the older Spider shaking his head as he walked over to also get in. 

“Hey, you can’t take one of those lifeboats. Please get out of there before we get in trouble” exclaimed the concierge who greeted them onto the riverboat, having spotted what they were doing. 

Jerry turned to the Electric Elementimp in annoyance as he approached, the older Spider’s eyes glowing once again as his third pair of arms appeared. 

“Listen here, will you? We don’t have time because the CEO of the BHA  has fallen overboard. Do you want to be responsible for anything that happens to her? I don’t think so, so do us all a favor and tell your captain that you lost a lifeboat when one of those large thorny vines hit it” said Jerry, the older Spider striking fear into the concierge that he quickly halted and nodded his head in understanding. 

Jerry huffed in annoyance and frustration as he got into the lifeboat, the older Spider taking a seat all the way at the front before swiftly taking out a cigarette and lighting it as Thorn and Rad began lowering the lifeboat down into the water. 

“Oh, and we’re not coming back, so don’t bother telling the captain that you lost some guests. We’ll just head back to New Helleans” said Jerry bluntly, the older Spider knowing that they would most likely do a headcount to ensure everyone was still onboard. 

The concierge could only rush over and watch them lower the lifeboat, unsure of what else to do but listen to what the older Spider had told him to do.
