The Denial of Love (Story 16 - Part 5)

With Venno: 

The Velociraptor slowly woke up, having fallen asleep at some point last night. 

As Venno sat up and rubbed her eyes, the Velociraptor glanced around and spotted her uniform on the floor beside her bed. 

Confused, Venno ensured that her blanket was properly wrapped around her as she continued looking around.

Venno then suddenly realized that Dexx was nowhere to be seen, all of his stuff now gone and the door to her bedroom slightly left open. 

Everything from the day before came back to Venno, and she began to panic as she looked around for anything the Anglerfish may have left. 

Spotting a piece of paper on her nightstand, Venno quickly grabbed it and saw that it was a note so she began reading through it. 

“Dear Venno, I apologize for having a leave before you woke up, but I really must be leaving. Last night, and the day before, was the best time I spent with you and I hope that you feel the same. I hope that we can meet again soon. Love you forever, Dexx” said Venno, reading the note aloud. 

Venno sighed, having hoped to wake up before Dexx did so they could spend the morning together, but she decided it was alright considering he had to leave.

The Velociraptor was wondering when Dexx had left the note when it suddenly occurred to her that she had completely forgotten about returning to Jerry the night before. 

“How could I forget? He’s going to be so mad at me” said Venno, the Velociraptor quickly getting out of bed. 

A few minutes later, after having gotten dressed back into her uniform, the Velociraptor rushed out of her bedroom to find that her backpack was still on the sofa where she left it. 

Dexx had taken his, meaning the Anglerfish had actually left and was most likely already out of the city. 

With her hair still a bit of a mess, having barely brushed it out, Venno took out her walkie talkie. 

The Velociraptor was about to turn it on when she suddenly decided to put it away, knowing it would be best to just speak to Jerry face to face. 

Before Venno could even grab the doorknob and leave her room, she suddenly felt a sharp pain in her stomach that caused her to halt in her tracks completely. 

Suddenly feeling sick and dizzy, Venno managed to quickly turn and leaned her back against the door to keep herself from falling, the feeling of vomiting rising through her throat, but was luckily held back down. 

After a few minutes of taking deep breaths, the Velociraptor managed to shake her head and slowly regain herself. 

“I hope Jerry won’t be too angry” muttered Venno, knowing the older Spider would most likely be mad when she didn’t contact him back since the day before. 

Managing to turn back around, the sudden pain and sick feeling having gone away for now, Venno quickly left her room and made sure to remain silent so as to not wake up her siblings. 

Time Skip: 

With Jerry: 

The older Spider was sitting in his office, waiting for any word from Venno, the Velociraptor having been missing with not a single word on where she was since her last contact with him. 

Sighing in annoyance, Jerry was about to take out a cigar from his drawer when he suddenly perked up at the sound of the doors bursting open. 

Looking up, Jerry saw Venno closing the doors behind her before slowly making her way to his desk where he was waiting.
