Mother's Instinct (Story 10 - Part 2)

With Slendithera and Rad: 

The Porcelain Monster was in her apartment, laying on the sofa asleep with the TV on to a random channel, having been up almost all night when some Spiders from the Spider Mafia came to the casino to have another one of their meetings. 

Slendithera enjoyed hanging out with them, especially since they were fun to be around. 

The Porcelain Monster was suddenly startled awake by the sound of her doors slamming open, causing her to jump in fright. 

Slendithera scowled when she saw Rad at the doorway, the Toxic Sludge looking angered by something. 

“What is it, Rad? Can’t you see that I’m trying to get some sleep? Go annoy Venno, for now” muttered Slendithera, grabbing the remote and turning the TV off before rolling over so she was now laying on her side, trying to fall asleep once more. 

Rad huffed in anger as he walked over to the sofa, grabbing an empty can of soda on the side table. 

“First of all, Venno went to the Bounty Hunter Agency. She’ll most likely be gone for a while hunting whoever the unlucky bounty is, so I can’t exactly annoy her like you said. Second of all, what were you and those Spiders doing last night?” asked Rad, accidentally crushing the can in his hand before throwing it at Slendithera, the thing hitting her forehead. 

Slendithera was startled awake by the pain, quickly sitting up and rubbing her head. 

“Ow, don’t do that! And if you must know, the Spiders like to throw little parties every so often for their family and friends. It mostly takes place in the first floor dining hall. What’s so bad about that? Venno doesn’t mind” said Slendithera, glaring at her little brother. 

Rad crossed his arms as he glared back. 

“Little parties? That music was loud! Why didn’t anyone tell me about this when I moved in?” demanded Rad, narrowing his eyes. 

Slendithera rolled her eyes, if she had pupils, before crossing her arms. 

“Well I’m sorry, now you know. They don’t happen too often, though, so you don’t have to worry about waking up in the middle of the night to the sound of loud music” said Slendithera sarcastically, laying back down on her side to indicate she was done talking about it. 

Rad just continued to glare at her, the Toxic Sludge about to say something when the two siblings were suddenly startled by someone knocking on the opened door. 

Slendithera and Rad both turned to see a young Spider from the Spider Mafia standing at the doorway, looking a little nervous and timid, an indication that he was most likely new. 

“Yes?” asked Slendithera, sitting up and tilting her head to the side, more curious than concerned about what he needed. 

“Oh, I was told to come find the three of you. I tried your sister’s door, but there was no answer” said the Spider, looking nervous. 

Slendithera and Rad both exchanged confused looks, but Rad shrugged. 

“Venno went out bounty hunting. She won’t be back for a while, depending on where the bounty was last seen” said the Toxic Sludge. 

Slendithera nodded in agreement. 

“If you need any help, me and Rad will have to do it. So then, what seems to be the problem?” asked Slendithera, standing up as she and her younger brother walked over. 

The Spider moved to the side to allow the two to exit the room, the Porcelain Monster quickly closing the doors behind her. 

“Well, you see, there’s this denizen who entered Spider Mafia turf saying she’s looking for you three, but she won’t say why. Some of our guys are fighting her right now, and I was sent to see if I could find your sister” explained the Spider, now looking concerned for the safety of his friends.
