The CEO of the Bounty Hunter Agency (Story 20 - Part 2)

With Jerry: 

The older Spider took a slow puff from his cigarette as he made his way down the street, having decided to walk so that he could have the time to think and reflect on what’s about to happen. 

Jerry had already sent Venno out to find Dexx’s hideout, or at least his Terronto hideout, the Velociraptor knowing where to find it.

Jerry could tell that Venno had a feeling on where it was since she had only been there twice and had seen the Anglerfish go in and out of the building. 

And while Venno was on her way to Dexx’s hideout, the Velociraptor telling Jerry where to meet her once he was ready, the older Spider was on his way to meet back up with an old friend of his from many years ago. 

The older Spider sighed, having had a feeling his old friend was still in the city, but he couldn't be too sure since he could still be wrong about it.

He hardly ever had a reason to go into Spider Mafia territory for the last twenty years after his accident, so he had no idea that his apprentice had decided to open up a bar until after he met Venno, the older Spider now having a reason to venture into their part of the city.

The older Spider halted and looked up at the bright sign above the door, having made it to where he needed to be. 

Mentally preparing himself for a confrontation, the older Spider entered the bar. 

Quickly glancing around, Jerry spotted the denizen he was looking for, the Black Widow standing behind the bar counter and cleaning a glass. 

Seeing that business was slow, only a few denizens sitting around on their own around the room, Jerry walked over to the bar counter. 

Deciding to just stand, Jerry took a slow puff from his cigarette before silently sighing, the older Spider then clearing his throat. 

The Black Widow was startled, having nearly dropped the glass she was cleaning as she whirled around. 

“Oh, it’s just you. This is the second time we’ve met, haven’t we?” asked the Black Widow as she quickly glanced away and went back to cleaning some more glasses. 

Jerry coughed for a second before shaking his head, the older Spider tossing his cigarette into the trash can behind the counter. 

“You know that’s not true, Widow” said Jerry, the older Spider frowning as he swiftly lit a new cigarette. 

The Black Widow was so startled this time that she actually did drop the two glasses she had in two of her hands, both shattering the second they fell onto the floor. 

With Venno: 

The Velociraptor found the old warehouse building she was looking for, having just made it to the docks. 

Venno had quickly decided to change into her Bounty Hunter uniform, but she knew that she wouldn’t be able to wear it too much longer since she was pregnant. 

Taking the key Dexx had thrown out of her backpack, Venno unlocked the warehouse door and slowly opened it, the Velociraptor taking a quick peek inside. 

Venno saw that the inside appeared just as it had when she first entered the building, old vehicles and machines scattered and piled on top of each other. 

As Venno entered, the Velociraptor had a feeling that Dexx would hide the actual entrance to his hideout somewhere behind all these piles of vehicles.

The Velociraptor glanced around the large room, returning her attention back to the task at hand.
