Brother's Rage (Story 8 - Part 1)

With Venno: 

The Velociraptor was chasing after another bounty, an Elementimp who had robbed the Grand Harpy Casino and Hotel in Los Hellus about two days before. 

Venno snarled, pushing herself to run faster. 

Ever since her sprained ankle healed, she had started doing some training in the large training room to make up for lost time, then she went to Scott and received the files he had been saving for her with the bounties Jerry thought she would enjoy hunting. 

Apparently the first bounty she chose to hunt, the Elementimp who was currently running away from her, had tried saying that he wasn’t the one who tried robbing the casino. From what she read about him, he had been one of the waiters serving drinks.  

So now Jerry wanted to find out what really happened considering the Elementimp had been in the casino at the time of the robbery and was found with some cash and jewelry lying around him after the lights had turned back on. 

Venno, getting impatient with the chase, jumped up onto the roof of a parked car and used the momentum to fly at the Elementimp, the small jets strapped to her outer thighs activating. 

She managed to tackle the Elementimp, causing him to panic and scream in fright.

“Oh shut it, you’re coming with me to the Bounty Hunter Agency for questioning” said Venno, managing to handcuff the Elementimp’s arms behind his back before helping him up to his feet. 

“And then what will you do with me?” asked the Elementimp, afraid of what might happen. 

Venno shrugged, grabbing the Elementimp’s upper arm and guiding him down the street as several denizens glanced over in either confusion or curiosity. 

“I don’t know. But if you cooperate and tell us what happened, then maybe you’ll be let go. If not, we’ll just have to hand you over to whoever owns the casino, which is unlucky for you since it’s one of the state’s most infamous casino owners in Los Hellus” said Venno, smirking as she guided the Elementimp towards the train station. 

The Elementimp gulped and nodded in understanding, hoping the CEO of the BHA  would take it easy on him with the questioning, having heard from a Moose how Jerry ‘Sniper’ Rifele questions bounties who had been brought in. 

Time Skip: 

Venno was sitting in the small viewing room with Jerry, the two watching and listening as the Elementimp explained everything that had happened to the Bounty Interrogator. 

“Everything had been fine until the lights turned out. Some denizens began to panic. I’m not sure what was going on until I felt someone or something rush past me. I tried to stop it, but I went right through it instead. The next thing I knew, I was laying on the floor covered in some sort of green sludge that burned by skin with some jewelry that I managed to grab from whatever had stolen them. When the lights turned back on, everyone assumed it had been me since I was laying on the floor with whatever jewelry had been left behind” explained the Elementimp, looking down at the table as he admitted what had happened. 

The Falcon, the Bounty Interrogator, nodded in understanding, making sure to write everything down. 

Jerry took a slow puff from his cigarette, his eyes narrowing as he tried to detect any hint of the Elementimp lying. 

“And do you still have that uniform you were wearing? Perhaps we can take a look at the green sludge to see if it matches any denizen species” asked the Falcon, glancing up at the Elementimp.
