Father's Instinct (Story 13 - Part 4)

With Jerry: 

The older Spider quickly dashed into the bar, having barely paid attention to the name as he shoved the Cheetah inside. 

The sound and sight of Jerry with a tied up Cheetah must have startled the bar owner, a Black Widow. 

“Who are you and what the fuck are you doing?” exclaimed the Black Widow, quickly ducking down and peeking over the edge of the counter as if she was trying to hide her face. 

Jerry didn’t seem to pay attention to her as he quickly shoved the Cheetah over to the counter. 

Several customers were already hiding under the tables, most likely having heard the explosion outside just minutes before and had been told to take cover. 

“Sorry about this, but you wouldn’t mind if I leave this guy here with you. He’s a bounty that Rapter caught, but it appears that now she’s caught up in a fight with the Shark Gang. And quick question, do you have access to the roof?” asked Jerry before taking a slow puff from his cigar. 

The Black Widow nodded, pointing at the door leading to the alley. 

“Yeah, there’s a ladder just outside the door. And I can keep an eye on this guy while you’re busy dealing with those Sharks” said the Black Widow, standing up and feeling a little more confident. 

Jerry nodded as he shoved the Cheetah behind the counter, causing him to fall face first on the floor. 

Before the older Spider could turn around and make his way to the back exit, he paused to examine the Black Widow as he took a quick puff from his cigar. 

“Do I know you?” asked Jerry, suddenly feeling a sudden sense of familiarity. 

The Black Widow froze up in shock as she tried to think of what to say. 

Jerry shook his head, waving it off. 

“Doesn’t matter. Maybe I saw you outside when I came to visit Rapter. Anyway, thanks for the help” said Jerry, the older Spider quickly turning and walking over to the back door. 

The Black Widow seemed to sigh in relief before nodding. 

“No problem” called the Black Widow, watching as Jerry left through the back door. 

With Thorn: 

Thorn quickly rushed out of the casino, his Thunder Falcon remaining on his shoulder, the Skeletal Viking having heard the loud explosion just minutes before. 

Queen Pin, Slendithera and Rad quickly rushed out shortly after, the Porcelain Monster gaping when she saw the two Great White Shark twins again. 

“Venno, it’s them” explained Slendithera excitedly, the Porcelain Monster unable to contain her excitement. 

Venno, who was taking cover behind a nearby vehicle with two other Spiders, nodded as she gestured for her sister over. 

Thorn, suddenly feeling protective over his three children as he watched Slendithera dash over and take cover beside Venno, decided to intervene. 

“Wait, hold it. I’m not letting my three kids fight anyone, much less those walking sacks of tuna fish” shouted Thorn, his fists clenched. 

This comment, having been heard by the approaching Sharks who were all laughing, caused them all to halt in their tracks and glare at the Skeletal Viking. 

“Hey, who are you calling sacks of overgrown tuna fish?” demanded one of the Great White Shark sisters. 

Her twin glanced over at where Venno and Slendithera were now standing, the two sisters having quickly dashed out of cover while the Spider Mafia members all scattered and took cover with their guns, ready to fire when needed.
