The Denial of Love (Story 16 - Part 4)

With Dexx: 

The Velociraptor and Anglerfish had decided to take a break from all the dancing they had done, the two now sitting at a small table at the bar area. 

The Velociraptor had already ordered several more drinks than she would normally have if she were to go to Arachné’s Web, and was feeling a little dizzy whereas Dexx only had a few. 

The two were laughing, having both forgotten what they had been doing just a few hours before. 

The Velociraptor had been enjoying her time with Dexx, having forgotten about the mission Jerry had sent her out to do, and Dexx had completely forgotten about leaving the city after having pulled off that big heist the day before. 

“Wait, so your ex boyfriend had been spending most of his time at the saloon, drinking might I add, instead of doing his job? How did he even become sheriff in the first place?” asked Dexx, the Anglerfish trying to understand what had happened during Venno’s last hunt, laughing as he did so. 

Venno chuckled, the Velociraptor looking a little flustered as she glanced down at her glass. 

“I don’t know, but he’s most likely the deputy now, since he really seemed like he wanted to change” said Venno, shrugging before finishing off her drink. 

Dexx hummed in thought and nodded, the Anglerfish also appeared a little flustered from the few drinks he had, but was still able to maintain himself. 

“You also said he still loved you, even after what he did, right? Do you feel the same?” asked Dexx, tilting his head to the side, the Anglerfish not realizing he had even asked this with a scowl. 

Venno scoffed, the Velociraptor smirking. 

“Do I miss him? Not really, no. I mean, I feel better after actually getting the chance to talk to him, but I’m not going to miss dating him” said Venno. 

Dexx silently sighed in relief, happy to hear this. 

“And why is that, might I ask?” asked Dexx, the Anglerfish only joking around with this question before deciding to finish off his own drink. 

Venno chuckled and smirked, the Velociraptor unaware of what she was even saying anymore at this point.

“Because now I have you to share my love with” said Venno, openly admitting what she would normally have never said aloud. 

Dexx was shocked when he heard this, the Anglerfish gasping, causing him to accidentally swallow his drink and making him cough.

The second the Anglerfish managed to regain himself, he suddenly found himself face to face with Venno, the Velociraptor having leaned across the small table and was smiling with all the love in her eyes for him. 

“Are you telling the truth?” asked Dexx, the Anglerfish hoping that it was true and not just the drinks Venno had. 

Venno simply nodded, choosing not to say a word as she just smiled sweetly. 

Dexx was unsure of what to do, the Anglerfish blushing brightly and in complete shock. 

Venno was so close that there was nowhere for the Anglerfish to go, not that he wanted to leave anyway. 

Without warning, the Velociraptor grabbed either side of Dexx’s face and pulled him close enough so they were now in a passionate yet tender kiss. 

The Anglerfish was quickly taken aback by this, having never expected Venno to be the one to make the first move

Nonetheless, despite the Velociraptor going for it, Dexx was able to quickly regain himself and kiss back.
