Clash of Raptors (Story 5 - Part 2)

With Venno: 

The Velociraptor chased the Winged Cyclops down the streets of New Strip City, easily dodging and weaving her way through the large crowds as she kept her eyes on the bounty. 

She snarled, quickly catching up to him, not wanting to let him get away from her that easily. 

The Winged Cyclops tried pushing several denizens to block her path, only to have her dodge them easily, continuing the chase. 

Getting frustrated, Venno swiftly took out her handgun as she continued to run after her bounty, taking aim before snarling to herself, shaking her head. 

“No, he may be wanted dead or alive, but it’s too risky in a large crowd like this” said Venno, recalling one of the rules that Bounty Hunters had to follow. 

Not killing any other denizen while hunting a bounty. 

She quickly put the hand gun back in its holster, the thing strapped to the side of her belt as she continued to chase after the Winged Cyclops. 

She spotted him turning the corner, trying to lose her, but she was quick to follow, also turning the corner after him. 

The Winged Cyclops ran by a large truck that was parked on the side of the street, giving Venno an idea. 

The Velociraptor quickly jumped up onto the roof of the car parked behind the truck, using the momentum to jump up onto the trailer, allowing her to get ahead of the Winged Cyclops before jumping down in front of him. 

This caused him to shriek in fright, quickly turning around to run back the other way, but accidentally bumped into a Moose who had turned to walk away. 

This caused the two to fall to the ground, the Winged Cyclops groaning in pain as he shook his head, shaking in fear as Venno stood over the two. 

“Nice try, buddy. You’re not getting away from me THAT easily” said the Velociraptor, her big toe claw tapping on the ground in front of him.

She then perked up when she saw the Moose, chuckling as she took out two pairs of handcuffs from her backpack, helping the Winged Cyclops to his feet before handcuffing his arms behind his back. 

“What a coincidence! I was hunting BOTH of you down since you were both in the same city. What are the odds that I would catch you both after one of you tried escaping from me only to run into the other?” said Venno, smiling as she handcuffed the Moose’s arms behind his back as well. 

The Moose seemed to glance over in the direction of a group of denizens as Venno took out her walkie talkie from her backpack, turning it on. 

She caught sight of this, glancing over and seeing a pack of Velociraptors glancing away from their general direction as if they were pretending not to know the Moose. 

Venno felt a snarl crawl up her throat, but swallowed it back down in favor of turning on her walkie talkie. 

“Jerry? I got them both. The Winged Cyclops and the Moose” said Venno, speaking into the walkie talkie, lifting her goggles so they were resting on her forehead. 

“Really!? You did a bloody great job, like always, Rapter. Bring them back to Terronto as soon as possible. I’ll be waiting at the station with the Field Team to help bring them back. I’ll give you the money for both of their bounties as soon as we hand them over to whoever posted them” explained Jerry on the other end of the walkie talkie, sounding happy to hear the news. 

Venno smiled, resisting the urge to squeal in excitement. 

“You got it, boss. I won’t let you down. I’ll be on the next train back to Terronto as soon as possible” said the Velociraptor before turning off her walkie talkie, returning her attention back to the two bounties she had just captured.
