Brother's Rage (Story 8 - Part 5)

With Venno: 

The Velociraptor had just made it back to her casino, having decided to walk back to get her sister before Mr. and Mrs.Haprins got to the Bounty Hunter Agency. 

Once inside and up on the third floor, Venno knocked on her sister’s door. 

“Yes?” asked Slendithera, opening the door and seeing her older sister on the other side. 

“Come with me to the Bounty Hunter Agency. My boss called Mr. and Mrs.Haprins, and they said they’re on their way to pick up the stolen jewelry. They didn’t say what they were going to do with Rad, though, so for all we know, they could take him back to Los Hellus and make him work for them. Jerry told them our theory, but he didn’t say whether they believed it or not” explained Venno simply. 

Slendithera frowned, but nodded in understanding, the Porcelain Monster exiting her room and closing the door behind her before following her sister back towards the elevator. 

Once the two were outside, Venno suddenly jumped in fright when she heard Jerry’s voice calling her name through her walkie talkie in her backpack. 

“Rapter? Raptor, are you there?” called Jerry, trying to get her to answer. 

Venno quickly took out her walkie talkie from her backpack, wondering why Jerry was trying to contact her. 

“Yes, boss? What is it?” asked Venno. 

Venno heard Jerry sighed deeply, causing her to raise an eyebrow in confusion and worry. 

“Well, I told your brother what was going on” started Jerry, sounding disappointed in himself. 

Venno nodded, even though the older Spider couldn’t see. 

“Ok” said Venno, allowing Jerry to continue. 

“And then he got angry and turned into a giant snake before quickly leaving the room to either find you two or some way out of the building. Most likely both” concluded Jerry. 

Venno and Slendithera both exchanged worried and confused glances. 

“We’re on our way” said Venno quickly before putting her walkie talkie back into her backpack, the two sisters running down the streets as fast as they could so that they may get to the Bounty Hunter Agency. 

With Jerry: 

The older Spider had made his way down to the lobby, having been told that Rad was down there. 

Exiting the elevator, Jerry glanced around and saw that everything was quiet, several of his employees hiding behind chairs and counters, some of them having been overturned. 

Walking by, Jerry finally spotted the Toxic Sludge sitting on the floor by the large glass windows and looking outside, having returned to his normal form. 

Sighing, Jerry tossed his cigar in the nearby trash can before giving everyone else the hand signal to leave the lobby, which they all complied. 

Walking over to the Toxic Sludge, Jerry grabbed a nearby chair and pulled it over before taking a seat beside Rad. The older Spider had never been a father, but he hoped to at least try and comfort the Toxic Sludge, seeing as how sensitive he can be about certain things. 

“Come on kid, what’s gotten you so worked up? I’m sure the casino owners won’t be too mad about what happened if it turns out that your sisters’ theory is correct” said Jerry, crossing his arms as he also looked out the window. 

Rad just glanced up at him before sighing, returning his attention back to the window. 

“I…don’t know. Why are you sitting on a chair and not on the floor?” asked Rad, sounding a bit annoyed as he crossed his arms.
