The Club's Bounty (Story 11 - Part 4)

With Venno: 

The Velociraptor was sitting in a chair in one of the empty dressing rooms that was currently not occupied by any of the performers who performed in the dance club. 

Her arms were crossed as she glared at DJ, the male Neon smiling as he waited for her reaction, having just finished explaining everything to her. 

“So let me get this straight, you want me to dress up and pretend to be a new performer to try and draw your boss out of his office” said Venno bluntly, already hating the plan. 

DJ smiled and nodded excitedly as Roxxane frowned and crossed her arms. 

“My office, but yes, we want him out. Although I am just as surprised as you are about the plan, considering he never told me about it” said the female Neon, giving her boyfriend a quick glare, but he didn’t seem to notice. 

DJ just chuckled and waved it off. 

“It’s fine, because we have you here to help. I can’t wait to see the look on that guy’s face when he realizes you're a Bounty Hunter and not a new performer” said DJ, smirking as he rubbed his hands together, chuckling excitedly. 

Venno just raised a worried eyebrow at the male Neon before glancing over at his girlfriend, the female Neon rolling her eyes before sighing in defeat. 

Venno sighed in annoyance as she got up, deciding she didn’t want to do the plan the male Neon had come up with. 

“Listen, I hate to have to do this, but I don’t think I’m the right Bounty Hunter for this particular job. It’s not my style. I like to chase them before taking them down, and I don’t think the plan will work out like you want it to. I’ll just tell my boss to maybe send someone else who will be more willing to do it” said Venno, standing up from her seat and taking her walkie talkie out of her backpack. 

The Velociraptor was about to speak into the walkie talkie and tell her boss about the change of plans, but stopped herself when she saw how scared the two Neons now looked. 

“Oh man, he won’t be happy to hear that tonight’s performer has been cancelled. He wasn’t happy when I told him you cancelled his favorite performers, but now he’ll be beyond angry” said Roxxane, turning to her boyfriend, trying to appear mad at him, but it was clear she was panicking. 

DJ looked as if he was going to have a panic attack, the male Neon clutching his head as he tried to stay calm. 

“It’s alright, maybe another Bounty Hunter will come in time for the performance? I don’t think he’ll be too angry at us if we can at least have someone performing for tonight” said DJ, chuckling as if he was trying to hide the fact that he was panicking on the inside. 

Venno glanced back down at her walkie talkie before sighing, knowing that she couldn’t just leave the two Neons on their own now that she knew how much they needed her. 

Putting her walkie talkie back into her backpack, Venno turned around and crossed her arms. 

“Alright, I’ll do it, but I better not regret this afterwards. If he tries to make a run for it, I will chase him down and catch him, but I want to be prepared. That means I WILL summon my scythe if something goes wrong out there” said Venno, summoning her scythe momentarily to show the two awed Neons before unsummoning it.

DJ and Roxxane then gasped when they heard this, the two unable to believe what they were hearing. 

“You mean it?” asked DJ, his eyes watering up from relieved tears. 

Venno frowned, but nodded. 

The male Neon was unable to contain his excitement as he cheered, his girlfriend sighing in relief.
