Blind Love (Story 14 - Part 3)

With Venno: 

The Velociraptor had gone down to the lobby, having remained silent as Keven stood beside her in the elevator. 

The elevator doors opened, allowing Venno to quickly walk out, not wanting to remain near Keven any longer than she had to know that they were off duty. 

“Hey, wait” called Keven, quickly rushing after Venno, the male Velociraptor sounding like he wanted to say something. 

Venno sighed in annoyance before turning and crossing her arms, giving Keven her full attention. 

“Make it quick, I have to get back home and make sure my siblings aren’t arguing again” said Venno, having walked into her casino only to find her brother and sister arguing about something useless several times before. 

Keven nodded in understanding, the male Velociraptor smiling. 

“Listen, I just wanted to say thank you for sticking up for me back there, you know, what with your boss being so mean and aggressive for no reason at all” began Keven, chuckling as he patted Venno’s shoulder, much to the Velociraptor’s obvious displeasure. 

Venno snarled as she glared up at Keven, about to defend her boss when he suddenly interrupted. 

“To show my appreciation for you defending me, allow me to do the honors of asking you out on a date. How does later tonight sound? I know a really great bar we can go to, too, with a hotel next door in case we drink a little too much” said Keven, smirking as he chuckled at the last part, giving her a wink. 

“Ugh, not a chance” said Venno harshly, the Velociraptor quickly turning and walking away from Keven. 

Venno then halted, an idea passing through her head before smirking. 

“Fine, I’ll go out with you tonight. But it’s not going to be a date, in fact I’ll be telling you all about bounty hunting and how you should properly hunt them. I also know the perfect place to go, a dance club that decided to keep the bar that was added after I helped the owners take back their building. Wouldn’t want us getting distracted from having you become a Bounty Hunter, would we?” said Venno, turning around and shrugging.

Keven was shocked by this sudden change in mind, the male Velociraptor shaking his head before smiling. 

“Alright, whatever you like. Should I pick you up at your place?” asked Keven, excited to at least go out somewhere with the Velociraptor. 

Venno shook her head, frowning. 

“No, meet me outside of The Neon Lights at sundown. And I’ll stay out no later than three hours, after that I’m heading home so we can continue your training tomorrow” explained Venno. 

Keven frowned slightly when she said this, but then shrugged and smiled once more. 

“Very well, if that’s what you’d like, then I’ll meet you there” said Keven, smirking as he walked by Venno, giving her a quick pat on her shoulder before continuing on his way to the front doors. 

Venno snarled lightly, the Velociraptor attempting to refrain from doing so when Keven did this.

The feeling of him patting her shoulder the way he did disgusted her, unlike when Dexx would touch her in some way that just made it feel electrifying and exhilarating. 

“First you’re hating him and now you’re going on a date? Heh, that was a quick turn around” said Scott, the Possum startling Venno as he walked up from behind her. 

Venno frowned and crossed her arms, and Velociraptor glanced away. 

“I told him that it wasn’t a date. It’s more like an outing to me. We may not like him now, like Barry did with me, but I can tell he does want to try being a Bounty Hunter” said Venno.
