Chapter 1224

Gabby's POV: Once the Nachos were ready, I smiled as I got them out of the oven. That's when I heard Matt come out of the bedroom wearing sweats and a shirt. "Why you out here?" Matt then showed me the water bottles. "Want these to be filled so that we have water in there." I nodded and agreed. "Good idea. Now, I am going to put these on plates. You want them split evenly or do you want a few more?" Matt just glared at me. "Just put it on one big plate. We can share." I nodded and agreed. "Matteo just relaxed in the bed or in his crib?" Matt smiled when I asked.

 "Gabby, relax okay? You don't need to worry about that. Believe me, I placed him in the middle of the bed so that he can't crawl off. Anyways, that's where we are going to want him while we are sitting in bed." I then shook my head. "That's not where I want him. I am going to be cuddling up to you when we are in bed. Sorry if I am clingy right now." Matt then smiled as he walked up to me. Wrapping his arms around my waist, Matt then bent down to kiss me softly. "Never apologize for being clingy. I like holding you in my arms and will always let you get close to me."

I smiled when he said that before nodding as I moved to rub his arms. I then went and leaned up to kiss him while grabbing the back of his head. "God, why must you do this to me? You always make me want to kiss you and just have you hold me in your arms all the time. It's like I'm a hormonal teenage girl all over again." Matt laughed when I said that and nodded. "Hey, you said it...not me. But it doesn't matter to me. I will always take the love."

I then smiled when he said that. "Yes, especially considering it is normally love that is very sexual and gives you are lot of pleasure." Matt smirked when I said that before going to grab some ice from the freezer for our water bottles. Matt then started to fill them up with tap water when I stopped him. "Can you use the filtered water from the fridge door? It's healthier." Matt then agreed and went to fill our water bottles with him instead. "So, 9 days til' puck drop."

I turned to look at him a bit confused. "What do you mean?" Matt then smiled. "The Blackhawks' first game of the season is January 13th." I smiled when he said that. "Let me guess, you already ordered Matteo a mini-Blackhawks Jersey?" Matt then smiled. "No, but I am definitely going to do that now." Matt then went to grab the water bottles and carried them towards the bedroom. "Or, do you want me to wait until you are there to approve of it?" I then looked at him.

"We can eat first. Come grab the pan for me?" Matt then agreed and smiled while walking back over to me. He then grabbed the pan for me as well as my hand. Intertwining our fingers, I followed Matt towards the bedroom. I was glad he was okay with eating in there because right now I just felt like I needed to be comfortable. And I was the most comfortable in bed.

That's when I heard my phone start to ring. I groaned and went to run over to grab it. "Oh, it's Hermann. They off shift?" Matt the thought about it and nodded. "Yeah, they are." I then realized what he might be asking. "We are not working Molly's." Matt sighed and nodded. "I could always go..." I then shook my head. "Please babe, not tonight. I am still new to these meds."

Matt then nodded as he got in bed with me. Putting the pan on his lap, I smiled as I got in bed next to him before looking at Matteo. "Let's eat first and then we can call Hermann back okay?" I nodded and agreed before going to grab some of the nachos while feeling Matt wrap his arm around me. "Are we going to tell him about the stuff or?" I then shook my head. "No thanks."

Matt smiled and agreed as we both just sat there and ate lunch together in bed.
