The Next Morning with Jay & Lucky:
Jay's POV: After waking up that morning, I decided to work out for the first time since me and Erin started our leaves. I haven't been doing it as much since I normally just take Lucky for a walk instead of working out but, I am glad I am doing it considering I need to keep my strength up. Plus, doing this also helps my mental health. It allows me to concentrate on something other than worrying about other people (well, other than Erin...I will always worry about her). With me currently being in the zone, I keep going until Lucky breaks me out of it.

Getting up and running over to Erin, Lucky goes to get some attention from her. "Hey girl, I wondered where you and Jay were this morning." I then decided to set my weights down and smiled as I went to grab my water. "How long have you been awake?" Taking a quick drink, I then went to walk over to Erin. "Maybe 15 minutes. I already grabbed some toast so, I am not here to ask you to make me food." I nodded and agreed as I went to wrap my arms around her. I then smiled as I went to kiss her softly. "Sleep good? You moved a lot."

Erin nodded and smiled. "She was just moving a lot last night. You refused to put your hand on my stomach even when I tried to bring it there." I then sighed. "Hey, I'm sorry. You should've woken my up and told me. I would've done it for sure had you asked." Erin nodded and smiled as she hugged me. "We still taking her to the dog park today?" I thought about it and nodded. "Sure that sounds great. It'll keep her in tip top shape for when we're back at work."

Erin smiled when I said that before moving to kiss me softly. "You still can't decide whether you want her to be just your service dog or a police dog can you?" I sighed and nodded. "She is a great resource that I can provide to the CPD. She's already with us all the time so...I keep saying that we should use her as a great resource but, then I get worried about what happens if something goes wrong on a bust. What if she is hurt and..." That's when Lucky runs over and jumps up on me.

Erin then backs up and smiles. "Well, she's doing her job right now." I then smiled and went to rub her head. "I'm okay girl. Just talking to momma." Lucky then got down and went to sit next to me. Wrapping my arm around Erin again, I felt her put her hand on my chest before looking up at me. "We need to get out of the house today okay? And not just to the dog park. Let's take a walk together. Hand in hand down the waterfront. Something a big romantic yet, it's also good exercise. I read that exercise is good for mental health."

I nodded and agreed. "And I also told you that. It's why I workout so often." Erin then smirked. "Oh really, I thought it was just to keep your big muscles that we both know really turns me on." I then laughed when she said that. Erin then moved her arms around my neck before kissing me softly. "You already have breakfast before you eat or do you need something?" I then looked at her and smirked. "Company in the shower?" Erin smiled when I said that and shook her head. "Not yet, after we go to the dog park." I agreed and nodded.

Erin then looked at me. "Listen, you go get changed for the dog park. I am going to start breakfast." I then looked down at my clothes confused. "What's wrong with this for the dog park?" Erin then shrugged. "Guess you're right. You can wear that. Now, I am going to make breakfast." Erin then turned around and walked away. I then sighed, really hoping that Olivia gets my attitude. "What's up with you?" I then looked up at Erin to see that she turned to look at me again. "Nothing."

Erin then gave me her signature glare, knowing that I was lying between my teeth. (After all, she is a former federal agent and must have dealt with much worse criminals then we've ever dealt with together in the intelligence unit. I then looked at her. "I was just thinking to myself that I really hoped that Olivia didn't get your attitude." Erin then looked at me. "My attitude. I hope she gets mine compared to your laissez-faire attitude. I mean Jay, we had to admit that your daughter is going to be a great cop. But, not if she has your attitude."

I then nodded and agreed. "Just curious, are you ready to have a ginger haired daughter? I know I don't have it but...it's a possibility since my mom was a ginger." Erin then thought about it and nodded. "I am ready for anything. Honestly, as long as she looks like the perfect combination of the two of us...she could have purple hair for all I care." I then laughed while walking over to her. Grabbing her hand, I moved to intertwine our fingers before looking at Lucky. "C'mon girl, let's go have breakfast." Lucky then got up and ran upstairs.

I then proceeded to help Erin upstairs before looking at her. "You do know that in the future, that is a possibility." Erin looked at me confused as we walked together. "Last time I checked, purple is not a hair color that you can inherit from your parents." I then laughed and shook my head. "I am talking about when she's a teenager. She could die her hair purple if she wanted to. Or even worse, pink." Erin laughed and agreed. "God, promise you will help me control myself if that ever happens."

I laughed and nodded as we made our way upstairs to breakfast so that we could eat.
