Chapter 1163

Meanwhile, back with Matt & Gabby
Matt's POV: Once everything started to calm down around here, me and Gabby were about to go relax in bed when I got an alert on my phone. It reminded me that I had to do my re-qualification exam for first aid and CPR before our next shift. And I chose to do it today. Gabby then walked over and rubbed my back. "Relax Matt, we can do it right now. Just go get your laptop. It's an hour or two course remember?" I then nodded and wrapped my arm around her back. "Sorry, just worried. Remember, I can't work as a paramedic next shift if I don't get it." I then kissed her forehead and smiled at her.

Gabby then stepped close to me before rubbing my chest. "We are doing it together remember? So, let's get the laptop...go sit in bed and then we can do the course. It's mostly multiple choice and videos. We can just watch it while cuddling. I am doing it too remember? That way my re-certification is when you are due to get re-certified." I nodded and liked that idea. "Okay then. Plus, I like the idea of cuddling up to you while we are doing the course." I then went to grab my laptop. "Or, can I do it on my iPad?" Gabby thought about it and smiled. "Probably. If not, you can cast it to the TV we have in there using the Chromecast."

I then smiled and reminded her. "Gabby, we have a Fire TV in there remember. There isn't a Chromecast." Gabby then smiled and nodded. "Wait, if we are doing the re-certification together then we both need to use our iPads for the exam." I nodded and understood. "We can still hold each other but just use both our iPads." Gabby then smiled as she went to look at Matteo. I then went to grab him and picked him up. "I think we can put him down for a nap." Gabby nodded and agreed. "Either that or we can just bring his plushies in our room."

I liked that idea better. "Then, he can play at the end of the bed while we are doing our course." Gabby nodded and agreed with me when I said that. "Perfect, now can you go set up the TV? I will get his stuff." I agreed and nodded, looking at Matteo. "You going to play at the end of mommy and daddy's bed while they do some work together?" I then kissed his forehead and smiled while looking at Gabby. "Don't be too long." She agreed and smiled before walking away with Matteo. Once she left, I went to bend down and grabbed his stuff.

I smiled as I looked at all the plushies we had there because they were adorable. I think some of them are definitely going to be used as teething toys eventually because some of them already have some of Matteo's saliva all over them. He likes to kiss them and teeth on them. However, I didn't care if my hand got dirty while holding these because it was all part of being a dad. And this was my dream. After picking them all up, I then went to walk into the bedroom.

Walking in, I smiled when I saw Gabby giving Matteo some kisses on his neck after setting him down. "You are so adorable. Promise you won't be a distraction while we take our course." I laughed when she said that and went to put my hands in my pocket. "Like the is ever not going to be possible. Last time I checked, our son was very distracting because of how adorable he is." Gabby then turned to look at me and smiled when I said that. "Very true."

I then went to give Matteo his plushies and smiled at him. "Now, we need to get to work so that we can have this done by the time we have our next shift. At least we can pause it when he needs our attention." Gabby then nodded and thought about something. "Maybe we should put him in the cot instead. I mean, he can play in there and if he needs to sleep, then he's already in there." I then shook my head. "Gabby, just pull him up on the bed. We are going to sit close to one another anyways. So, he can sit next to us."

Gabby nodded and agreed with me before going to move Matteo up our bed and closer to us. Once he was ready to play, I got on the bed and turned on the TV. Once it was on, I grabbed my iPad and went to connect it so that we could play the video. Gabby then joined me on the bed and sat next to me. I then wrapped my arm around her as we both went to the website to do our re-certification. I then saw that it was just an exam and there was no videos. "Oh, it's just scenario questions and multiple choice."

Gabby was shocked and nodded. "Perfect. However, that doesn't mean we are not going to talk about them." I smiled and liked the idea. We are going to put the same answers in too." Gabby chuckled and nodded, agreeing with me. "Of course we are. Now, let's get to work." Gabby nodded and agreed as we both started to do our course. I just hoped it didn't take too long. "How long does the non-online course take anyways?" Gabby laughed. "My record, 20 minutes." I nodded and agreed. "Can you help me get the right answers?"

Gabby thought about it and nodded. "You already know what to do so, we'll just put the same answers in." I smiled and nodded as we went through the questions together. I was also glad that I knew most of the answers by myself even though I was not the senior paramedic.
