One Chicago: Health First Part 4

Chapter 1248

An Hour Later when Jay & Erin are home:
Jay's POV: After getting home from the district, I smiled as I finished getting changed out of my work clothes and into some sweats. I then walked over to the safe once I had my gun off my belt and went to lock it. However, I wasn't alone in locking up my gun. "Seems like I'm not the only one who forgot to lock up my gun when I got home." Erin then turned around to look at me and smiled as she stepped close to me. Putting her hand on my chest, she smiled while cuddling up to me. "I am so glad that Hank gave us the rest of the day off. I am tired."

I nodded and smiled as I moved my hands to her hips. I was about to kiss her when I saw Lucky on the couch again. "Okay, can we both just agree she can stay on the couch? I know it's not normal for a dog but...she's not going to stop anytime soon. Plus, I like cuddling up to her sometimes." Erin then sighed and thought about it. "Jay, she's supposed to be trained to listen to you. If you let her get away with that then you are not going to be able to train her properly to be a police dog. Unless you've given up on that prospect?" I sighed when she said that.

"She's already trained and can do it Erin. But, she's probably going to forget over the next few months so...she is probably going to end up behind more of a emotional support dog rather than a police dog. Is that a problem?" Erin then shook her head and smiled at me. "As long as she stays out of the way while we're working....I am positive that Hank isn't going to have a problem with that. However, I am not sure about the ivory tower. Aren't they the ones that got her for you?" I then shook my head. "No, I got her through the VA." Erin then nodded.

"Listen, enough work talk okay? We both agreed when we got married that work talk stays outside that door." Erin smiled and agreed as she put her hands on my chest. "Then what would you like to talk about instead?" I then moved my hand to hers before kissing her softly. "Or not talk about I think you should say." I then moved my hand to her neck and leaned down to kiss her neck softly. "Want to head upstairs to bed?" Erin then nodded while grabbing my hand. "She's going to follow us upstairs thought isn't she?" I then sighed and nodded.

"First time for everything." Erin then laughed and smiled as she intertwined our fingers while rubbing my arm. I then went to lead her upstairs so that we could go to bed. That's when I saw Lucky run upstairs next to us. "I think we just got our answer. But what do you expect Erin? She's trained to always be in the same room as me. Her job is to protect me from my nightmares. What if we fall asleep this afternoon and I have a nightmare?" Erin nodded while kissing my arm. "She stays off the bed though. By the way, I told Hank to just put her bed under my desk."

I nodded and agreed as we both made our way upstairs. That's when I saw Lucky on the bed. "Listen, you seem tired. How about we just relax in bed for now. We can do this later." Erin agreed and smiled. "I am going to lay down on your chest and you can pet her head. Also, I just realized that you still haven't taken off her harness. Maybe that's why she's following us." I agreed and nodded. "Sure, then lay down and let me take it off." Erin then agreed and went to lay down in bed. "Here Lucky."

Lucky was then about to get up when I stopped her. I then went to grab her vest and smiled while taking it off. Scratching her head, I smiled at her. "You were a good girl today at work sweetie. Now, how about you go relax?" Lucky then got up and moved to the end of the bed where she always laid down while we were in bed. I then looked at Erin and smiled when I saw Erin take off her shirt. "Sorry, just getting comfortable." I nodded and agreed.

"I am never going to complain that you have your shirt off. Now, let me get in bed with you and then we can relax." I then moved to open the covers before getting in bed with Erin. Wrapping my arm around her, I smiled as she slipped close to me before slipping her legs in between mine. I then bent down to kiss her softly while moving my hand to her stomach. "God, you are so sexy when you do that." Erin smiled when I said that and nodded. I then went to grab her jeans and decided to help her take them off.

That's when she kicked them off. I then thought about it. "We should train her to get our clothes from off the ground." Erin then looked at me, laughing when I said that. "Now, would that really be an appropriate job for a service/emotional support dog?" I then laughed and smiled before going to kiss her softly while feeling her slip her legs in between mine. Moving my hand to her stomach, I then stroked it with my thumb before looking at Erin. "Just to let you know, this is all I need in life. My girls close to me as I hold them in my arms."

Erin smiled when I said that and then moved my hand around her stomach. I then started to feel Olivia kick and smiled at Erin. "Something tells me that she knows she are currently laying down in bed together." Erin laughed and smiled. "Yeah. Hey listen, so I want to ask you this. Now that we are on Maternity/Paternity leave...are we still considering a little babymoon/honeymoon for us? Or are we going to stay around here until she's born?" I then went to grab her hand and sighed, rubbing it. "I am not sure. What do you want to do?"

Erin then looked at me and sighed. "I want to get out of Chicago for a bit. I've been on an emotional rollercoaster since I've been back and wouldn't mind having a little alone time with you. Maybe we could go to the cabin for a while just the two of us. Shut off our phones and make love by the fire." I smiled when Erin said that because it was not everyday that Erin asked me to make love to her since she's started to have such a big bump.

"Sorry if I am speechless...I mean, you have let me touch you but we haven't gone that far very often." Erin nodded. "It's because I am still not used to being this big. It's why I want to wait at least a year and a half before we even talk about trying for a second child. I am already raising 2 right now." Erin then went to run her finger down my cheekbone. "Hey, I am not that immature and she's a great dog!" Erin smiled and laughed when I did that. "God, you still do it."

I was confused when she said that. "Still do what?" Erin then smiled as she went to kiss me softly. "You do realize that the only reason that I do that is to try and get you frustrated and get a reaction out of you right babe?"
