Chapter 1174

Meanwhile, back at Molly's:
Matt's POV: As I came back from another delivery, I smiled as I walked into the restaurant to see Matteo on the ground playing with his toys. Walking over to the bar, I looked at Hermann as he watched Matteo. "When did he get here?" He turned to look at me and smiled. "Gabby got here maybe 5 minutes after you left." I nodded and smiled. "Hermann, can I get at the sink?" He then turned to look at me. "Why?" I then turned to look at Matteo. "Germs." He nodded and understood. I then went to wash my hands so I could pick him up.

Once I was done, I walked over to Matteo and then went to grab him. "Hey little man. You enjoy playing on the ground." I then went to kiss his cheek and smiled as I felt him cuddle up to me. I then kissed the top of his head and smiled. I was just glad I didn't have to wear a mask in here considering we are all tested regularly. It was CFD policy to get tested every time you go in for a shift. Since nobody has tested positive in our group yet, we haven't needed to isolate. That's when I saw Gabby come out of the washroom.

"Hey, thought I heard you out here. How was the delivery?" I smiled as she walked over. "Good. Why didn't you call me that you were coming? I would've picked you up." Gabby then smiled as she walked up to me before kissing me softly. "Didn't want you to talk me out of it." I then sighed because she was probably right that I would've talked her out of it. But, I was glad she was here. This gave us time as a family even though we were still working at the moment. That's when I heard Antonio come in. "Someone call for a babysitter?" 

I then looked at Gabby. "So, he isn't staying?" Gabby then sighed. "I was bored at home. I asked Antonio if he could watch him while I helped out here. I hope that's okay? Anyways, Sylvie needs to practice being a mom. At least this kills two birds with one stone." I nodded and understood before turning to look at Antonio. "How late are you taking him for?" Antonio then smiled. "Depends how late you are working?" I turned to look at Gabby.

"If he stays overnight, we can stay until Molly's closes. Then, we can go home and have a little date night before getting him tomorrow morning after sleeping in?" Gabby nodded and smiled, liking the idea. "Sounds perfect." She then turned to look at Antonio and smiled. "I brought spare clothes and the diaper bag. Think you can keep him overnight?" Antonio nodded and agreed. "I will never say no to spending time with my nephew. Want me to teach him spanish?"

Gabby smiled and loved that idea. "Yes, you are going to have to do that whenever you are babysitting him. I haven't been speaking it as much as I should be. Now, you already put in a baby seat or do you need to get ours?" Antonio then smiled. "I put one in my car. That way I can take him home with me anytime you want." Antonio then went to grab Matteo and smiled at him. "Hey little guy. What do you say you come for a visit with uncle Tony?"

Matteo then put his hands in his face. We pretty much just assumed that was a yes and smiled when he did that. At least, what was until we heard the door open. "Sorry, Molly's is closed unless it's for deliveries." I then looked up to see Gallo. "Gallo." That's when Hermann came out of the kitchen. He looked at Gallo and smiled. "About that Gabby, I forgot to mention...he needed stuff to do. So, I said he could try being a delivery driver. He's not paid yet."

Gallo then looked at Hermann. "I never agreed to that. I am just the candidate at the firehouse. That means I don't make much money. Sorry but, I expect to be paid if I am working as a delivery service." Gabby then sighed and looked at Gallo. "Hermann, how many delivery drivers do we have right now?" Hermann smiled. "One part-time and one full-time." Gabby then shrugged. "Then he can stay. Wait, he's part-time I guess?" Hermann nodded. "Lee Henry's full-time." 

I turned to look at Gabby and smiled. "Gabby, it's a good investment. That means we can accept double the amount of orders. It also means I can stay here and help in the kitchen more." Gabby nodded and agreed. "Sure, because we already have 2 cooks in the kitchen." I chuckled and smiled. "Or, I can do deliveries too. Now, let's get more orders. And we need to get your magnets on. Where are they Hermann?" Hermann then smiled. "They're in the back." 

I nodded and agreed. "Gallo, stay there. I need to put something on your car. Let me just get them." Gallo was confused when I said that and then looked at Gabby. "What does he have to put on my car?" Gabby just looked at him and smiled as she walked over to the coat rack to get him a Molly's jacket. "Here, put this on and show off our logo. Just like your car is going to when you put the magnets on your car while you are out delivering food."

Gallo nodded and agreed as he went to take off his jacket and grabbed a Molly's jacket. Well, not exactly. It was just a used jacket that we sewed a Molly's logo onto it. But it worked. Once he was changed, I came back out with the magnets and smiled. "How about you show me your car and I can put them on for you? Be right back Gabby." Gabby then nodded and agreed as I looked at Gallo. Gallo then led me out of the restaurant to his car.
