Meanwhile with Matt & Gabby:
Matt's POV: As I walked around the house, I sighed as I started to see just how dirty stuff was getting around here. Gabby was currently out getting some groceries so, I decided to clean up Matteo's toys and maybe vacuum a bit. Nothing like doing some spring cleaning. And I know exactly what you are thinking, this is just to get brownie points. However, nothing could be further from the truth. I've always been one for cleanliness and nothing will change that part of me.

Once Matteo's toys were all put away, I started to clean the carpet we had in the living room when I heard my phone ring. I saw it was Antonio and decided to answer. "Hey Antonio, surprised you're calling me instead of Gabby." Antonio laughed. "This is going to sound weird but, I kinda need advice. I know this should be something I know but...what soothers do you guys use for Matteo?" I laughed when he asked. "Antonio, it's fine. We use the Suckeroos." Antonio then went to grab one.

"Shit, you guys pay this much for soothers?" I knew exactly what he was talking about. "Where are you Antonio?" Antonio then told me what store he was at. "I'm at Babies-R-Us, why?" I then nodded and understood. "Buy them at Costco. You can get twice as much for almost the same price. That's where we shop for little things that can get lost. It's also where we buy our chips and stuff. God, those bags are huge." Antonio agreed and laughed.

"Trust me, that's where I go whenever there's a staff party. Have you ever seen the pumpkin pies there?" I nodded and smiled. "Oh yeah, those are delicious. Bring them to our Firehouse Thanksgiving sometimes." I then heard Antonio walk some more. "You guys still have some clothes you can give away or are you giving them to Severide now? Sylvie told me he and Stella are having their first kid." I nodded and smiled. "Yes. But, we also have some for Joe Cruz."

Antonio then remembered about him. "Right, Sylvie told me that he's having triplets. All boys?" I laughed. "Let's just say that the wife is not happy." Antonio laughed. "Oh, I bet. And let me guess, she's done after this?" I shrugged. "Not sure. I mean, depends on whether his brother can help out with them. But then again, he works at Molly's and has a full-time job there." Antonio agreed with me and chuckled. "Listen, I need to get going. Need to do more shopping."

I nodded and agreed. "Good, because I see Gabby pulling in the driveway." Antonio agreed. "Good luck telling her you didn't finish cleaning up. I heard the vacuum when you first answered." I nodded and smiled. "She didn't ask me to vacuum. But, yeah...I need to go. Bye Antonio." I then hung up on Antonio and went to walk over to the door so that I could help Gabby with the groceries. Setting my phone on the counter, I smiled as I walked outside.

"How was he at the grocery store?" Gabby smiled when she saw me come out and sighed. "He was Mr. Grabby today. Wouldn't sit still. He is still full of energy. I might just put him down and let him crawl around the house for a while." I nodded and agreed with her when I saw that she had some spit up in her hair. "Uhm Gabs, you might want to take a shower." Gabby looked at me and sighed. "How bad do I smell?" I then shook my head and pointed to my hair.

Gabby then ran her fingers through her hair and was disgusted. "That explains why people were staring at me with a weird face. I mean, can people seriously not tell a mom when she has spit up in her hair." I then laughed and walked up to her. Putting my hands on her waist, I then kissed her softly. "Listen, how about you take him inside and go take a shower? Then, I will put the groceries away for you." Gabby nodded and agreed as she grabbed Matteo from me.

"Oh, I just wanted to let you know. Jesse sent us some new sonograms she got for us. Apparently, we missed the appointment yesterday." I then got worried and went to grab my phone. "No, that's supposed to be tomorrow." Gabby just looked at me confused. "Right, she goes every 2 weeks on Fridays since we are normally off. We should talk to her about why exactly she went in today instead of tomorrow."

I nodded and agreed. "She promised that we could be extremely involved in the pregnancy. If something's changed I wanted to know she that we can protect ourselves." Gabby nodded and smiled. "Listen, you are worrying for nothing I think. Just get the groceries out and put them away while I got take a  shower." I nodded and agreed as Gabby walked away. Meanwhile, I opened the liftgate to grab the groceries when I heard someone walk up to me.

"Matt?" I then turned around and saw it was Jesse. "Jesse, you okay?" Jesse then sighed. "Listen, I wanted to explain the text. I know you are probably freaked out after I went alone." I then nodded. "Jesse, you seem frightened...you okay?" Jesse then sighed and looked at me as I got closer. However, Jesse put her hands up. "Stay away and put your mask on." I then got worried. "Matt, my friend came over a couple weeks ago. I just tested positive."

I just stared at her when she said that and then got worried. "What?!?" Apparently, I yelled the last part out pretty loud because Gabby came rushing out. "Matt, what's wrong?" She then saw Jesse. She was about to walk over to her when I stopped her. "She just tested positive for COVID." Gabby then turned to look at Jesse. "Say that again?"
