One Chicago: Health First Part 4

Chapter 1206

20 Minutes when Matt & Gabby are home:

Matt's POV: As I finished getting changed for bed, I smile as I looked at Gabby as she was getting Matteo undressed on our bed. "Want me to get the bath started like we planned to do? It might help him fall asleep." Gabby then looked up at me and smiled. "That sounds perfect. Just wish the bath was big enough for the two of us to get in." I then smirked when she said that. "I think it is actually. Want to try when he's done?" Gabby then turned to look at me, extending her hand.

Walking over to her, I then smiled as I wrapped my arm around her. Gabby then moved her hand to my back and looked up into my eyes. "You really think that's a good idea? I mean, the bath is small." I nodded and smiled. "Gabby, it's a full whirlpool bath. It's not that small." Gabby then nodded and smiled at me. "Let's try. At least that way we don't have to take a shower in the morning since I am going to consider this us having sex." I agreed and nodded, kissing her.

I then smiled while looking at Matteo. "C'mon little guy. Let's get you washed up so that mommy and daddy can get in the bath together." I then cuddled up to him while kissing his head and grabbing his towel. "How about you grab our stuff and get it ready while I give him his bath?" Gabby then nodded and smiled as I walked out of the bedroom and into the bathroom to quickly give Matteo a bath. However, not too quickly.

That's when I heard my phone ring. "Gabby, can you get that for me?" Gabby then yelled back. "Sure thing." I then went to start the bath for Matteo before smiling as I set him down. That's when I heard Gabby talk on my phone. "Gabby speaking." Gabby then walked over to the bathroom and looked at me. "Oh, he did now. Well, can you bring it to the firehouse next shift or can you drop it off at our place sometime?" I then turned to look at Gabby.

"You forgot your wallet at the bar." I then glared at her. "Shoot." Gabby then nodded. "Shift or apartment?" I sighed. "Can they bring it here tonight or tomorrow morning. I can't drive without it." Gabby agreed and nodded. "Can you come drop it off here either tonight or tomorrow?" That's when she put it on speaker and I heard Hermann. "Perfect, I should be there in 2 minutes." I was shocked when he said that. "What?" 

Hermann then laughed. "You can't stay cooped up in the apartment forever. You must want to go out sometime and you shouldn't drive without it." I agreed and smiled. "You already close the bar for the night?" Hermann agreed. "Yeah. But, I was hoping you guys could take the day shift instead of the night shift tomorrow. I was going to spend the day with the kids." Gabby sighed. "Actually Hermann, we were going to stay home tomorrow. Maybe go see Antonio."

I nodded and agreed with her, liking the idea. Hermann agreed too. "Oh, of course. You should go check on them. Have you spoken to them much since it happened?" Gabby sighed again. "Not much. But, I should text him at some point. Maybe in the morning." I agreed with her. "Listen, let me just finish giving him a bath then we can talk about that." Gabby then smiled and pointed to the bath, mouthing 'in there'. I nodded and then smirked at that idea.

Gabby then walked up behind me and moved to rub my arm as she bent down to kiss my cheek. She then moved to whisper in my ear. "Put him in the nursery. That might not be the only place I want you." I smirked and nodded when she said that and nodded. Gabby then walked out of the bathroom and kept talking to Hermann. I then turned to look at Matteo. "You better behave tonight and co-operate. Daddy might be getting some attention from mommy tonight." I then went to grab the baby soap as he relax in his bath.

I then smiled as I rubbed his chest and then rubbed his face as I just saw there and took a moment to admire our beautiful baby boy. This was my dream come true and I didn't care whether me sitting this low on the ground hurt a bit...I would rather hurt my back while giving Matteo a bath than not be his father at all. After rubbing the soap all over his body, I then rubbed his chest and just sat there with him. "You like the water now eh buddy?"

Matteo then smiled at me and just nodded. However, I wasn't sure whether he was smiling at me when I heard Gabby. "We have the day off tomorrow guaranteed. Now, I was going to make him a bottle before we get in." I agreed while turning to look at her and smiled. "We going right to bed or we still doing the bath?" Gabby then smiled at me. "I like the idea of taking a bath. We have the jets and think it might be fun/relaxing." I nodded and smiled while extending my hand. Gabby then walked over to me and grabbed it. 

She then bent down and kissed me softly. "Want me to get our stuff ready?" I nodded. "And maybe even get undressed so you are in your robe. As soon as he is done, he is going right to bed and I am coming right back in here. Can you fill up the bath? He's almost done." Gabby then nodded and agreed. "Then take him off and put him in bed. Then get undressed and come to join me in the bath." I then nodded and looked at her. "Or, you can wait for me in the bedroom and help me get undressed? Or even put him in the crib for me." Gabby then nodded.

Getting Matteo out of the bath and grabbing his towel, I smiled as I dried him before looking at Gabby. "You okay with putting him in his crib?" Gabby nodded and smiled. I then moved to kiss Matteo's forehead softly. "Goodnight buddy. See you in the morning." I then looked at Gabby. "I will get this ready for us and then we can get in. First, I am getting undressed." Gabby then smiled and nodded as she walked out of the washroom to put Matteo to bed. Meanwhile, I got the baby bath out of the tub and put it away before emptying the Bath.

I then started to fill it again for me and Gabby, ready to take a bath with her as I started to take off my shirt while I was walking towards the bedroom to get my towel.
