Meanwhile, back at the District:
Jay's POV: As we continued to work on the case, I sighed when I started to get a little tired. Lucky had to go out a couple times last night. Weird thing is that she's normally supposed to only wake me up if she thinks I am having a panic attack. Not if she has to go to the washroom. That's when I got up and was about to grab some coffee when Hank stared at me. "Jay." I then groaned a him. "Not my fault that she had to go to the washroom twice last night." Hank then looked at me."Hey, you're the one that got her pregnant." I then looked at him. "Not Erin. Lucky." Lucky then looked up at me from her bed and I shook my head. Snapping my fingers, I smiled at her. "Down girl, relax." She then did as she was told while I walked into Hank's office. "That's the one bad part of her being trained to jump on your bed to wake you up. More specifically right on my chest." Hank then sighed. "That must hurt when she has to go to the washroom then."
I then sighed and looked at him. "I am starting to get worried about whether this is going to prevent me from being the best dad. I mean, what daughter doesn't want to lay down on her dad's chest. Lucky might have to jump up on me one time and what? Hurt Olivia in the process?" Hank then sighed. "Jay, you are just going to have to train her to not jump on you and Olivia. Talk to her trainer. Ask her about that. People are here to support you man. It's their job too."
That's when I heard Erin walk up to Hank's door. "And you can always talk to me. What's up Jay?" I then turned to look at her and smiled. "Just getting tired. She was up a couple times last night remember?" Erin nodded and smiled. "I also heard something related to Olivia." I then nodded. "What if she jumps on me while Olivia is on my chest." Erin then got scared and I got up. "Hey, I am not saying I will ever let her hurt Olivia." I then went to hold Erin close.
Erin then put her hand on chest and then sighed while stepping close to me. "Want to get some air or are you okay Erin?" Erin then put her hand on my chest. "It's okay Jay, I am just thinking about that and it gave me a little scare. I mean, that is a possibility unfortunately." Hank then looked at Erin. "Erin, you look tired. You want to head home? We can keep going on the case without you guys." I then turned around to look at him. "Me too?" Hank nodded.
"You guys need to relax every once and a while. She's due in 3 months after all. When is your maternity leave starting anyways?" I then sighed. "It's supposed to start at the end of the month..." Hank then stared at us. "NO way. You guys get to start sooner. Why did you not tell me that the CPD only gave you 2 months. With the hell you've been through this....you deserve it. You are also taking 6 months off" I smiled when he said that. "Me too?" Hank then smiled.
"By paternity and maternity leave....I mean you're working from home okay?" Erin smiled when he said that and nodded. "Can you tell the unit about that? We are going to head home okay. Maybe even take the rest of shift off?" Hank nodded. "We'll talk in the morning. Jay, you are on call in case we need to go undercover." Me and Erin then both nodded and smiled as we grabbed each other's hands. "Lets get going okay? Time to relax." Erin nodded and smiled, ready to go home.
