Chapter 1239

Gabby's POV: As I made my way out of the bedroom after getting dressed, I overheard Matt talking to Matteo. He mentioned something about getting me a new ring and that he was going to give it to me at the vow renewal. Walking out, I was shocked and decided to talk to him. "You are getting me a new ring for the vow renewal?" Matt turned to look at me and I could tell it was supposed to be a surprised. Matt then put his hand out for me to come over to him. "Come here." I nodded and agreed as I walked over to the couch.

Going to sit next to him, I then smiled at Matteo before cuddling up to him when I felt him put his hand on my arm and his arm around my back. "I thought it'd be a nice gift." I then looked up at him and sighed. "Matt, I love my wedding band." Matt nodded and went to kiss my forehead. "It's just...yours is from a long time ago. Our first marriage." Matt then grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers. "Shouldn't you get a new one for this marriage?"

I then shook my head. "If you wanted to buy me one...you can. But, I would rather wear this one considering it's also my engagement ring." Matt then nodded. "Exactly, I never got you a real wedding band." Matt then kissed the ring before smiling at me. "You don't want a real one?" I then thought about it and sighed. "I am not sure. I mean, it's not like we really need one. Heck, you have just really started to wear yours all the time since you moved to ambo with me."

Matt then nodded as he put his hand on my back. "Because I didn't want to loose it in a fire. Now, I am not going into fires so...I can wear it." I nodded and agreed with him. "By the way, we still need to tell the firehouse about our surrogacy." Matt agreed and nodded. "We are doing it on shift tomorrow. Unless you want to do it ahead of time?" I thought about it and sighed. "I just don't want to make a big deal about it. I mean, it's just a second baby via surrogacy."

Matt shook his head. "Hey, it is a big deal Gabby. We are having a baby. We are so excited about it and it's going to change our whole dynamic. No more hanging out with friends and a lot more time just the four of us. And before you say anything, I am not going to complain. Gabby, who ever thought there was going to be a four of us again after everything that has happened between us?" I smiled and agreed with him. "So much for our possible charity work."

Matt sighed and nodded. "Gabby, I promise we will someday when the kids are older. But, we have so many ways to get involved. I promise that we are going to go to that fundraiser this winter because I am positive it's happening." I then bit my lip. "Matt, the baby is going to be 6 weeks. We are going to be tired and we are now toing." Matt then nodded and agreed with me. "Next year then. I promise that we are going to get involved with that charity."

I smiled when he said that and then nodded while feeling his lips on my forehead. That's when I felt his phone vibrate and I sighed. "Just ignore it, I am comfortable here with you." Matt nodded and smiled as he looked at me. "How about you move over and we can sit in the corner of the sectional where I can put my feet up?" I nodded and agreed before getting up so he can move. Matt then did that before opening his arms. "Care to join?"

I laughed and smiled when he said that before moving to sit in his lap. Wrapping my arms around his neck and putting my hand on his chest, I smiled as I kissed him softly. "I will never not want to join you by sitting in your arms." Matt smiled when I said that and nodded. "Love you." I then smiled as I just cuddled up to him that morning, glad that Matteo is relaxing with right while we took a bit of time to just cuddle up to one another on the couch.
