Chapter 1214

Meanwhile, at the Firehouse:
Boden's POV: As I walked into the briefing room, I turned to look at all the men in the room. Severide went to sit down and then looked at me. Turning to look at everybody I decided to tell them. "Firehouse 51, I am here to tell you that effective immediately...we are acting both as a fire squad and an investigative team. One of our own has been reported missing and therefore, we need to go out and look for her." Everybody was shocked. Hermann then spoke up. "Matteo?" I shook my head. "No, Sylvie. Effective immediately, you are to look for her."

Everybody agreed and nodded. Hermann then spoke up. "Truck 81. Go get your gear and put it in the truck. We leave in 2 minutes!" Truck 81 then got up meanwhile, Squad stayed put. Severide then looked at them. "Cruz, you're staying back. You are too close to this situation." Cruz then looked at him. "What?" I then agreed. "Cruz, Chloe is pregnant with your triplets. That is too close. You are to stay here with Con...Connie!" Connie then walked into the briefing room. "Yes Chief?" I then looked at her. "Today, you are to stay on the floor."

She then looked at me and crossed her arms. "Excuse me?" I just glared at her. "Sylvie Brett, our pregnant former PIC is missing. You are to stay on the floor and watch for her. Is that understood? Oh, and you are also to keep Joe Cruz here at the firehouse. He will clean the firehouse and cook today." Cruz was about to protest when I glared at him. "You do this and I will try and get you a longer paternity leave." Joe then agreed, loving the idea. "Thanks." I then thought about it and realized Donna was home. 

I then grabbed my phone and went to call her. She picked up right away. "Hi Wallace, everything okay?" I then smiled because she has wanted to get out of the house for months. "Yes, but we need your help. It means you getting out of the house." Donna agreed. "What's the problem?" I then sighed. "Our former paramedic, the pregnant one...Sylvie Brett has gone missing. Can you come here to the firehouse so that I can go out looking for her? Maybe even watch Matteo Casey?" Donna agreed. "Of course, you going to be there too?"

I sighed. "No, I am leaving. So, you are not going to see me til' we find her." She understood. "Just breathe and relax. We'll find her." I agreed and nodded. "Okay, love you and talk soon." I then hung up and went to look at Connie. "Connie, go bundle up and just grab some music or something as well as the phone. You are to concentrate on watching for Sylvie." She agreed and went out to grab her stuff. Meanwhile, I went to grab my radio and made my way out to the jeep where I was going to search for her.
