Chapter 51: Broken hearts

A week later abby woke up in carl's bed with willow sleeping next to her. With maggie staying at hilltop abby and willow have been staying with carl and them. Abby wanted to stay with carol but carol was still missing. Abby yawned as she sat up and turned. Carl was no where in sight but willow was laying in his spot. Abby just smiled before heading to shower and change. She put on leggings, one of carl's big t shirts and her boots. Her hair sat in a side braid as it was still wet from her shower. Abby stared in the mirror and sighed. Today was the day negan was coming and she wasn't so excited. She put on all her gear before waking up willow. "Shower and get dressed." Abby says as willow wakes up. "Fine." She groans before heading to the shower. Abby heads to judiths room to get her changed before heading downstairs. Carl sat downstairs drinking some water in the kitchen. "Look who's awake." Abby says as judith cuddles into her chest. Carl smiled and walked over to say hi. "Good Morning." He says giving abby a kiss and kissing judiths head. "Good Morning." Abby says with a smile putting judith in her chair so abby could give her some breakfast. "Good you two are awake." Rick says walking down the stairs. "Negans coming today." Abby asked grabbing some food. Rick nodded his head and kissed judiths head. "I'm gonna go on watch. Wait for him to come." Rick tells them grabbing a granola bar from abby. "Alright, we'll stay here. I don't want those men around judith or willow." Abby tells rick as willow comes running down the stairs. "The men who killed abraham and glenn, they're coming here?" Willow asked sadly as she gets to the end of the stairs. "Yeah, you're gonna stay with carl and abby. Follow their lead." Rick says pulling willow into a hug. "Alright, I can do that." Willow says as they pull away. "Good, behave." He tells them all before leaving the house. Abby sighs and gets breakfast for everyone. "We're gonna be ok. If we have too we'll put judith and willow somewhere they can't find them." Carl tells her pulling her into a back hug. "Alright." Abby says with a smile. Carl kissed her cheek as she continued to make food. Around an hour later men had started to come in their house and start to take stuff. Abby sat on the floor in front of the fireplace with willow and judith. Carl was watching the men as they destroyed the house. Abby was playing cards with willow distracting her from the men. "Ow." Abby hisses as a warm liquid leaked out her pants and onto the floor. Her eyes widened making willow look up from her cards. "What?!" Willow asked putting the cards down. "Nothing." Abby says looking down at the pile of liquid she was sitting on. Willows eyes widened as she saw the liquid. "You're thing just broke!" Willow says quietly as pain started to fill abbys body. "Water, my water just broke." Abby says trying not to scream in pain. "Come on up! We gotta get you to the infirmary!" Willow says quickly putting all the cards away. Abby took deep breaths as the pain continued to get worse. "Carl!" Willow yells up to him as she helped abby get up. Carl came running down the stairs and his eyes widened as he saw abby standing up with liquid on the ground. They weren't supposed to come yet, they were only 8 months. "Bad timing I knOWW!" Abby says groaning in pain as carl ran over to her. "Willow get judith now." He says wrapping his arms around abby. Willow didn't say anything as she grab judith and started their way to the infirmary. "You got this just a little longer." Carl says as they walk. Every time they moved abby felt a jolt of pain. "I'm trying!" She says as they get to the infirmary. Carl kicks open the door to see a bunch of negans men in there. "Get out now!" Carl yells to them walking abby over to the bed. "Whatcha gonna do if we don't kid?" One of the guys says with a smirk. Carl just pulled out his gun and shot at the window making willow jump. "Get out now!" Carl yells to them again as abby laid down in pain.

"Carl put it down!" Rick says as they walk into the infirmary. "No! Abbys going into labor and they won't get out!" Carl yells at his dad as negan walks in with a smirk. "Woah, hot stuffs ready to push a baby out!" Negan says with a chuckle as abbys blood started to boil. "Willow get someone now." Abby spits out in pain. Willow Doesn't say anything as she runs out the infirmary with judith still in her hands. "Well boys, we must give princess her space!" Negan says as daryl walks in. Abbys eyes filled with tears as she saw daryl looking broken. "Daryl and rick here are about to become grandpas to serial killers!" He says walking over to daryl with a laugh. "How's it feel to watch your kid sit in pain without you?" He says to daryl finally getting her to break. Abby grabs her knife and throws it at negans head only to rick to catch it before hitting him. "GET OUT NOW!" Abby screams to them followed by another scream in pain. "Princess just tried to kill me!" He says with a laugh walking over to her. He grabs her face and smiles. "Good thing i like you." Negan says shoving her face away. "Rick, take me to your guns. Reminds me how you have a whole lot of them that are mine." Negan says as the men start to leave. "Princess we'll be back." Negan says before walking out. Abby doesn't say anything as rick puts her knife on the table before following him out. Tears filled abbys eyes as she laid back. Carl came over her and started fo help her get undressed on the lower half. "I can't do this! I need my sister! I need maggie!" Abby cry's out in pain. "You got this! I'm not going anywhere." Carl says to her as he throws her pants on the ground. Olivia soon came flying through the door with enid and willow. "Enid get a blanket." Olivia says grabbing an chair to put in front of abby. "Alright abby, two babies. You got this." Olivia says as enid put a blanket over abbys legs. "I can't! They're not ready!" Abby screams out in pain. "You can do this! Abby look at me!" Olivia yells pulling up her sleeves. Abby looked down at Olivia with tears in her eyes. "You can do this, you hear me! You can do this!" Tara yells to her. Abby nods as carl grabs her hand. "Alright baby number one, push come on!" Olivia says as abby push's out in pain. "Keep going!" Olivia says as abby screams out in pain. "AGHHHHHHH!" Abby yells with one big push. A baby crying caught her attention making her sigh and start to cry. "Baby boy!" Olivia says cutting the cord. Enid grabbed a blanket and grabbed theo from Olivia. "Alright one more!" Olivia says as abby breaths for a minute. "Is he ok?" Abby asked enid who was looking at him. "Seems ok to me." She says making abby smile. Carl smiled just as michonne came running through the door. Abbys eyes filled with more tears as michonne ran over to her. "You didn't think I was gonna miss this did you?" She says kissing abbys sweaty forehead. Rick came running in and immediately ran over to theo. "Alright! Baby girl is coming next!" Olivia said as the pain came back to abby. She pushed and pushed until lena came out. "Is she ok?" Abby asked as michonne ran over to her. Lena wasn't crying. "Michonne." Abby says out of breath. Michonne ran over to enid who had lena. Olivia finished up abby before running over. "Someone please tell me my baby is ok!" Abby says as carl runs over there. No one said anything. "Someone!" Abby yells now crying. Carl didn't say anything as he ran out the door. "No! No!" Abby cry's out as michonne comes over. "No! She can't be!" Abby cry's out trying to get out of bed. "Abby." Michonne says tears fill her eyes. "Let me see her!" Abby says as michone held her down. "Let me see my baby!" Abby yells as she continued to cry. Rick had wrapped lena up and brought her over to abby. He's eyes were filled with tears. "I'm sorry." He says handing her the baby. Lena was all pale and blue, she wasn't breathing either. Abby cried and hugged her baby. "No!" Abby cry's out in pain. Her baby girl was dead. "Abby, we. We gotta take her." Michonne says wiping her eyes. "No!" Abby says pulling away. "Shes my baby!" She says as michonne kissed abbys head. "Shes my baby." Abby cries out as michonne took lena from abbys arms. She cried and cried as michonne walked over to the table. Rick held theo in a blanket who was now fast asleep. "I'll do it." Michonne tells him with tears in her eyes. Rick just nods also crying and walks over to abby. Abby looked up to see rick standing there with theo. Enid and Olivia all stood around michonne trying to block the view. "Here." Rick says handing abby theo. She wipes her eyes and grabs theo from rick. Tears continued to fall from her eyes as she looked at theo. "He's beautiful." Abby chokes up as she runs her finger on his face. "I promise, i'll protect you. No matter what." Abby whispers as theo slept. He had a full set of brown curls with the same dimples as abby. The sound on a knife caught her attention making her close her eyes. Her baby girl was gone. Theo was her only baby.
