Grocery bags crinkled in his hands as he walked back from the grocery store, the late night wind making a cold shiver run down Dream's back as he continued to walk home. The late night grocery run had been a spur of the moment idea, Dream's thoughts running a little wild and needing to get out of the house -he figured he might as well be doing something useful while he went out.

The lights from wide awake homes shone onto the concrete, the sidewalk glowing yellow. He stepped over cracks and rocks, trying not to think too hard about him.

George had been on his mind all day, the British boy who came into the cafe to order a chocolate croissant and black tea every day. He was a regular, sat in the same booth every time, and his order was usually ready before he even walked in.

Dream would always see the boy on his way into the store, because George always walked to the cafe since he couldn't drive, and so when he'd see him on the sidewalk he'd start brewing the tea and heating up the croissant, just how the brunet liked.

His coworker, Sapnap, had bullied him for it when he picked up on Dream's habit of always getting it ready for George, but he stopped bringing it up after a little and just observed.

On Dream's first day at the cafe, George had come in, ordered his usual and questioned when the blond had started working there. Dream explained that it was actually his first day of work, excluding his training days, and the brunet smiled politely and tipped a little more than usual.

They had hit it off at the start, always talking when they could and Dream would wipe all the tables around George's booth, so he could look busy while they spoke. The taller almost always worked afternoon shifts, which ment he was always working at the same time George would come in.

Today though, had been a little different from the usual.

George had come in with his two brothers, Quackity and Tubbo. Both of the brunets company were younger than him, and both looked like they might jump out of their seats during their entire stay in the cafe, both joking around and enjoying their little outing. Quackity was only a little younger than George, Tubbo being the youngest of the three boys. Dream had heard about the two before, during one of his and George's many conversations.

Dream had the brunets order all ready for him, the other two ordering and then all three of them sitting down. The blond quickly got everything, bringing it to their table.

Dream was only slightly disappointed in the fact that he couldn't talk to the shorter since the other had company.

When the three left, George had left his receipt on the table. Dream went over to clean up, looking at the receipt quickly and seeing a phone number written at the top, as well as the words "text me soon, sunshine :] -George".

Those words played in his head in a lovely accented melody. A bright swirl of pink and yellow flowered in his heart, bright bursts of red flaming his cheeks and turning him into a flustered mess of melted sun rays.

He couldn't help but imagine that adorable pet name falling from the brits mouth in an intricate blend of letters and pronunciation, his inflection making the word sound like it was written in cursive and all things pretty.

His house came into view and he sped up his walking, getting to the front door and putting all the food away once inside.

On the counter the receipt lay, the same numbers and letters scrawled at the top. He hadn't texted George yet, not quite knowing what to say.
