Humid air crept in from the open window, Florida's cool wind and damp skies during the rainy season causing the two to stay inside, cuddled together on soft cotton sheets. The fan circulated the ice cold AC and air from outside, causing a nice medium temperature that let them lay under the covers comfortably. Two hoodies lay on the carpeted floor, that had been thrown off once they decided to get under the covers, the extra fabric making it too hot.

They had had a movie night eairler, all three roommates enjoying the TV in the living room after a long day of editing videos and a stream train from Karl and Quackity, all three wanting to join them since there hadn't been many 5/5 crew boys streams lately.

The movie night consisted of ordering pizza and a shared bowl of popcorn, as well as a shared fluffy blanket. Dream had been sat in the middle, with Sapnap on his right, and George, his boyfriend, to the left. Both shorter boys leaned against his shoulders, especially Sapnap since the noiret had passed out mid movie.

When the credits rolled, Dream gently woke up the youngest, the Texan immediately heading to his room to sleep for the night. George's eyes had become half lidded with sleep, tiredly blinking them to be fully open and standing up. Both boys got up and stretched, wordlessly heading to the blonds room to sleep for the night.

George always loved opening the windows early in the mornings, so they had been open all day. It had rained at one point, but they were only slightly cracked open, and George had sat on Dream's bed to read and listen to the soft patter of rain drops on their house. Water had ended up just barely dotting the floors, but luckily his room didn't have carpet so it wasn't a big deal.

The sunset was pictured beautifully from their view at this time of day, oak trees framing the sun in all its cadmium yellow glory. The pinks and oranges displayed brought a smile to their faces.

The tiredness they felt sagged their shoulders, discarding warm hoodies and changing into just pajama pants for the night, they got under soft sheets and cuddled together, seeking the warm skin.

Dream always enjoyed weighted blankets, so whenever George would just lay on top of him, it was always so much better. The shorters head resting on his chest, arms wrapped around eachother and legs intertwined under white cotton, lithe fingers running through dirty-blond hair. It was always perfect when they were together.

Dream can barely think about how it was before George had moved in, or even before they had expressed their feelings for eachother without feeling incomplete. Many restless nights and cuddled pillows, sleep calls leading to late night banter, and empty arms in the morning with no accented voice dripping with sleep and honey to wake him up.

George remembers one night in particular, one that he said is the night he knew he was in love with his best friend. It had been after a geo guesser stream, and they had both decided to sleep call, even though neither were tired enough quite yet. He knew his and Dream's friendship was quite different compared to how they were with the others, but it had always just been that way for them.

The week prior they had gotten into a stupid little argument, he can't even remember what it was about, but they had both gotten over it a few days later. The stream was like a little apology from Dream, to make up from the couple days of silence between them.

As they stayed up late into the night just to talk and enjoy eachothers company, George realized how much he missed Dream during those few days of nothing. How much he missed soft voices and stupid jokes, loud wheezes and funny comments, how much he missed Dream and everything about him.

When Dream had said, "you really should get some rest now...it's way later for you than me", the soft concern laced words broke into his heart. "I hope you sleep well, goodnight" Dream said, plugging his phone in and resting it on the night stand, obviously not hanging up.

"Goodnight" he had said back, listening to soft breathing and falling asleep soon after, warm hands and pretty freckled faces littering his mind with love induced thoughts.

Dream had said he knew he was in love a couple days eairler, during the days that they hadn't spoken.

He barely slept during those nights, usually going for late night drives to clear his mind or go to Sapnap for a warm body to keep him grounded.

Sapnap had said something along the lines of "your so whipped for him, just say sorry and hang out with him again" and Dream had huffed with a roll of his eyes. But those words hadn't left him.

He really was whipped for George, wrapped around the boys fingers like a shiny silver ring. He hated not talking to him, he hated not having little updates on George's life like he'd usually get. Normally he'd get stupid pictures of the boys food or of Cat, or even just stupid memes and tik toks.

He missed George's voice more than anything.

He knew he had to just get over his ego and say sorry sooner or later before he broke down, before he cried from how much he truly missed the brunet. Yeah, that's definitely when he found out.

But they have eachother now, wrapped in warm sheets and warm arms, freckled hands splayed across pale backs, drawing shapes in the plane of skin. They had close proximity and wide smiles, a shared house and soft kisses to make up for the time they had missed, and the distance that kept them apart.

Memories of the past few months of them being able to live together flashed through Dream's mind, a tired smile gracing his lips. George fit perfectly in his arms at the air port, sat prettily in the back seat half asleep, and even more beautiful when jet lag caused him to fall asleep splayed across Dream on the couch.

Maybe the time and distance was worth, made the out come feel so much better. The wait made them feel so complete when they finally had eachother.

I'm feeling pretty motivated right now and I've already started the next oneshot :] it's a college au and I'm pretty excited for it. I also want to right another Dreamnotnap oneshot since I really love poly ships :]]]
