The morning started off with Dream mentioning something about having a 'busy afternoon together', so George sat patiently on his bed, texting Sapnap, Karl, and Quackity, having nothing better to do as we waited patiently.
He had planned on streaming sometime today, but since he'd be out with Dream, he figured he should just play it safe and push it off till the next day, since he didn't know how long the blond's plans would take.
It only took a couple more boring minutes, the clock reading 1:30, before Dream excitedly entered his boyfriends room, smiling widely and dragging the brunet to a standing position, instead of slouching on the mattress.
Although they were dating, they had separate rooms for when they'd be streaming, recording, and to just hold their own stuff. However, they usually slept in the green-eyed boys room, since Dream had the bigger bed.
"Alright, you'll need to wear some jeans and a short sleeve t-shirt, bring a hoodie just in case, and some sneakers. I have the rest planned" the taller gave George these instructions, the brit looking at his boyfriend with a questioning look, before shrugging and following the directions.
He changed into a pair of comfortable blue jeans, threw on gray shirt, and grabbed his red YouTube hoodie, putting it on his bed for now. He checked to make sure his phone was fully charged, since he had it plugged in while texting his friends, and unplugged it.
Since he wasn't sure if he'd need anything else, he decided to grab a small black backpack, throwing his wallet, apartment keys, and phone charger in it, just in case.
He was able to fit his hoodie in the backpack as well, after folding it and making sure the bag didn't expand too much from the new item inside, since the last time he stuffed a backpack too full the zipper had broke. (idk if that's ever happened to yall, but it's the worst ._.)
Throwing the bag over one shoulder, he walked out into the small living room area, seeing Dream waiting on the couch, leg bouncing with anticipation. The excited boy stood quickly, grabbing his car keys off the counter and waiting for George to follow him.
They walked down the stairs and the small hallway to get to the parking lot of the apartment complex, getting the drivers and passenger seat of the car.
"So...what's happening? You're not gonna murder me, right?" George asked playfully, looking over at the smiling dirty-blond.
"If I tell you that I'm gonna murder you, that takes away the fun of it" Dream joked, reversing out of the parking spot and heading out of the complex, driving onto a main road.
"You're such an idiot" the brown-eyed boy said, all too endearing for the statement.
The drive was quite pleasant, besides the bumpy road and potholes that litter the asphalt, but they've both grown used to it by now.
Dream turned down an unfamiliar road after some time, or atleast unfamiliar to George. The blond seemed to know where he was headed, turning down a small dirt road that branches off of the one they were on, driving into a wooded area.
One more turn and the sounding area has proven to be a large forest, tall oak trees standing upright in the afternoon sun, the breeze rustling green leaves. There was a small area that's open, used for parking. Small wood fence posts made a line between the parking area and the trees, as well as an obvious walking path, grass stomped down from use.
The both get out of the car, the brunet looking around at all of the bright green foliage. Sun rays peaked through tree leaves, creating beams of light that reached the grassy floor, speckles of dust and other things float around in the air, shining in the yellow-orange light.
George couldn't help but just smile as he looked around, enjoying the warmth that seeped into his skin and made him feel fuzzy with joy.
"We haven't even gotten to the best part yet, follow me" Dream smiled just as widely back at the british boy, taking his hand that wasn't busy. At some point, while George was admiring the scenery, the blond had grabbed a blanket and a small picnic basket.
They followed the stomped-grass trail through the forest, small bugs making an appearance every now and then. At one point, when they found a small clearing, they saw two white tailed deer, the sound of leaves crunching under their hooves startling them for a moment.
They both laughed it off, giggling and bullying eachother about it momentarily, before continuing the journey.
Soon, the pathway came to an end, showing off a large area of grass and flowers. It wasn't exactly a flower feild, but there were many that littered throughout the green. Pinks and purples stood out to the blond, both looking like blue to the brunet.
Luckily, Dream had remembered to grab the colorblind glasses he bought for his boyfriend. handing it over to the brown-eyed boy, and watching the other look around, grin spreading wider.
The blond quickly walked over to a tree, that was farther off from the actual forest and stood nicely in the clearing, putting the blanket down in the shade, spreading it out. He set the basket down as well, taking a seat and watching the shorter sit down as well, knees touching from how close they were.
They pulled out some pre-made sandwiches and a bag of chips, as well as a small bowl of strawberries and grapes from the basket.
"Thanks for grabbing these," George started, motioning up to the glasses, "all the flowers look so pretty." He continued to look out at all of the sounding foliage. Although he never really cared about being colorblind or not, now getting to see what other people sew was always so exciting, even if he didn't exactly mind.
He looked over at the tallers bright eyes, looking at the brown that enveloped Dreams irises, that spread out to the vibrant green. (I hope yall have seen the pic of his eye on Twitter, or else that doesn't make a lot of sense lmaoo---)
"No problem, I've been here before, so I wanted to make sure you could see it all" Dream shrugged softly, leaning against the trunk of the tree, his legs spread out in front of him.
"When?" George asked curiously, moving to sit between the tallers legs, leaning his head down against Dreams chest. The blond wrapped his arms around his boyfriend, beginning to explain.
"When I was younger my mom would take me and my siblings here, we'd just run around till we got tired, then we'd head home," he laughed softly, remembering all the time he spent as a kid, running around in the grass and trying to make flower crowns, which always ended up falling apart.
"If I was your mom, I'd probably drop you off here too, let you run around and not deal with it" George said sarcasticly, both breaking out into giggles and wheezes.
"Wow, Georgie, why do you hate me so much?" Dream hugged the boy closer, letting his cheek rest against the dark brown hair, that smelled faintly of the other's comforting shampoo.
They stayed like that for awhile, sitting in eachothers arms and eventually watching the sunset, the warm colors contrasting the green that surrounded them.
Once they packed up all their things, walking back to the car and drove home, they felt just as serene as they did in the feild.
