Long distance relationships are already hard, but having messed up sleep schedules, messed up schedules in general, and a very large time difference, all made it much harder.

Dream picked up his phone, wanting to text his boyfriend and ask if he was still awake. He knew it was late for him, with the five hour time difference, but lately it had been hard for either of them to get good rest.

His anxiety creeped up on him whenever he got these urges, to just call the brunet in the middle of the night and talk for hours, or however long it took for them to pass out. He always wanted to just throw his phone to the side, let it die on his desk and not disturb his boyfriend.

But, this time, the blond picked up his phone, going to his contacts and pressing the one that read George's name. His gut told him not to call, that it was wrong just to call just so he could say goodnight, but he also felt like he needed to do this, even if it wouldn't be a four hour long conversation.

After a few moments of ringing, Dream surely thought the other wouldn't pick up, but he was mistaken when a soft voice spoke up.

"Um, Hello? Dream?" his voice was groggy and slurred with sleep, the green-eyed boy feared for a moment that he had woken him up.

"Hey, sorry if I woke you up, I just wanted to say something before I go to bed..." his voice trailed off, laced with anxiety and upset with himself for waking up the brit.

"Oh, don't worry, I haven't slept yet... What do you need? is something wrong, love?" Dream always loved how George's accent sounded when he said 'love', it was also something he always called him to calm him down. The brown-eyed boy could very easily tell when other sounded off, and always did what he could to cheer him up.

"Oh well, I just wanted to say goodnight" Dream felt more comfortable calling just to say that, something in the others tone felt so lonely. He wished he could just pick the other up and hug him as close as possible. Whenever the blond would talk to Sapnap about how George's tone sounded "alone", the raven haired male would always shake his head and laugh softly, muttering a small "where do you even hear that from, idiot" or something along those lines. But Dream knew what he was hearing in the others light, defeated tone.

"You do know you drive me crazy, right?" George giggled, a soft sound that the blond could get drunk on. "Goodnight to you too, I love you".

"I love you too" after a couple seconds Dream heard the click that signified the other hung up. He was about to climb into bed as he was planning to do, but the others sentence brought an idea to mind.

He quickly threw on a green hoodie on over his white shirt, as well some socks and the nearest pair of shoes. He made his way to the kitchen, grabbing his car keys and wallet.

As he walked to his car he could see the empty and dark streets, due to the late hour of the night. He got into the drivers seat, turning the car on and grabbing the aux cord. He hit shuffle on his main playlist, listening to the songs as he backed out of his driveway and out of the apartment complex, going out and onto a main road.

While driving, the only words playing in his mind were "i love you" in a soft and tired British accent, and how much he truly loved the brunet that was across an ocean.

The empty streets and loud music all felt like a movie. The warm street lamps and the now half empty monster sitting in the drink holder next to the blond sloshed around in the can every time he made turns, all added to the movie effect. All he could think about was sharing this moment with someone, driving around at night with his boyfriend and just actually being together.

When he finally got home around two hours later, he didn't stop his impatient hands as they typed away, trying to find a one way plane ticket, after pushing away the initial anxiety like eairler.

And when George woke up that morning to a screen shot form his boyfriend, who should have been asleep when the text was sent, he couldn't help but smile at the plane ticket he saw, a one way to Florida.

And when Dream woke up, he immediately called the brunet, being greeted by the sounds of rushing around and packing.

~~~
When George arrived to Florida, the blond holding him close for so long and so tight he could barely breath, Dream had given him a break for his jet lagged self, helping him unpack or napping for the first 3 days.
On the 3rd night of them being together, the brunet was dragged into the dirty-blonds car. The drive they went on was the same one that Dream had taken, but this time with much wanted company. Now there were two half empty monster cans sitting in the middle consoles cup holder, right underneath where the two boys hands lay, interlaced.
It's kinda short, it's only like 910 words, but song oneshots are hard to make long :/
I have longer shit soon tho :]
