tw// slight homophobia..? not really, more like Dream gets nervous but it's nothing outwardly, don't worry

~♡♡♡♡~

The sun is bright where it shines in his eyes, a hand being lifted to block the light.

Dream leans back on his other hand, the uncomfortable texture of the bleachers pressing into his palms as he squints and looks down at the grassy field. He sees blue and red flash before his eyes, jerseys and black shorts, shin guards and cleats moving deftly across green turf. White numbers move across the field, number 40 always catching his eye.

George moves so gracefully across the soccer field, Dream can never get enough of seeing him here, in his element. Here, in the blazing sun with a breeze fanning across his neck, moving smoothly between players during practice, or games, George always looks graceful.

His book shifts in his lap as he focuses in on George, brown hair plastered to his forehead from sweat, and even in this state, Dream would gladly call him beautiful.

Dream sighs, pushes back his own hair from his forehead, lifting his book up and flipping through the pages till he gets to the bookmarked one, finishing up a chapter before their practice ends.

When the whistle blows, he closes the book and shoves into his backpack, already getting out his car keys and heading down the bleachers steps. He knows to wait outside the locker room for a few when he leans against the wall, waving at a few soccer players as they leave early.

He's been taking George home after practice almost everyday this season, getting to know the team pretty well. He wasn't on any school teams, not having played a sport since highschool, but he definitely understood the feeling they all got out on the field, even if that wasn't his thing anymore.

He enjoyed the feeling, that rush of adrenaline and energy you could push out during games, but competition, atleast in the sports sense, wasn't his forte.

And as George exited the locker room, that goofy smile on his pink lips, Dream knew that it was definitely his. Soccer was definitely George's speciality.

"You ready to go?" Dream asked, a soft grin playing on his lips at the sight of a tired, but dopey George.

"I wouldn't be out here if I wasn't, would I?" and there was his sarcastic reply, eyes still lightly scrunched from his smile as he laced his hand with Dreams and pulled him down the hallway.

"I was just checking, god, I can't even be a gentleman without you saying something," Dream huffed lightheartedly, letting the brunet drag him to the parking lot, unlocking the car and both separating to get in.

"I can't let you off the hook that easily, gotta keep you on your toes," George shrugs, practically deflating into the car seat and getting comfortable.

"Do you wanna head straight home or get food?" Dream knows to ask George this because it's different everyday after practice. Sometimes all the brunet wants is to go home and sleep, eat a four course meal, or get a slurpee and sit on their couch till his eyes can't stay open any longer.

"I want you to cook me something, wanna watch you cook" his voice is tired but oh so loving, only this vulnerable when he's sleepy. His voice is almost slurred from the way his face is shoved into the car seat, but Dream knows he'll stay awake from the way George's hand reaches across the center council, playing with Dream's bracelets that hang off his wrist.
