George loved to write poetry. He had started to do it privately, as a way to express his emotions and to get feelings out when it felt to hard to say verbally.

Then, one day he stumbled across a poetry reading and writing site, where he could upload his writing anonymously. He had always wanted to get comments and other people's point of view on his poems, so he figured this would be the best way to do so.

By now George had been posting on the site for a couple of months, really enjoying it.

He already had many readers that enjoyed his writing, commenting and liking his posts. He updated somewhat regularly, especially since he had a lot of old poems that he wanted to share.

The brunet had just uploaded a new poem, titled "Drive", someone with the account name "Nightmare" had commented on the second stanza.

"I really enjoy your writing, what inspired you to write this line?" The comment had read.

The line in question was "Traveling through your brain, as if it was made of different towns", something he had written after going on a late night drive to his mom's house while struggling with a break up.

He was still learning to accept himself for who he is at the time of writing that poem, and he had thought about that line a lot while on his drive.

He decided to reply to the persons comment, writing "im glad you enjoy it! I wrote this while still figuring myself out, I feel like there's so many parts to your self that you don't explore, as if your on a drive without making any stops. So it's supposed to show how I'm learning more and more about myself everyday, actually taking stops when it comes to figuring out who I am".

What George was surprised about, is that he had gotten a DM from "Nightmare" soon after he replied to their comment.

"Understanding yourself can be hard, im glad you use poetry as an outlet. I love to read and your poems have always hit close to home, I especially like this one" The mystery reader had sent. George had never gotten a DM from any of his readers, even from the people who commented often on his poems had never sent a text to him, for only him to see.

The brunet decided to type back "im glad I use it as an outlet too, and I'm so happy I get to share with others how I feel and see they also understand".

That night he hadn't gotten any new messages or comments from "Nightmare", so he figured the other had just wanted to share that piece of information with him only, since poetry can be very emotional.

Two weeks later, George had been going through an old notebook from college, looking at some of the poems scattered throughout the wrinkled pages.

One had stood out the most, titled "Pulled apart". He wrote that one in his English class, when his teacher had been particularly annoying about one of his essays, pulling apart every detail that had been incorrect, overall destroying the brunets self esteem when it came to his writing.
