4: First Mission [REVISED]

I woke up late the next morning. Our sensei wouldn't be early, that's for sure. I got the feeling that he was always late. 

I walked into my kitchen and looked around, trying to decide what to eat. I was about to grab eggs when I stopped. Didn't he say no food?

I groaned. No breakfast? Lame. Well, oh well. I'll eat a little, it wouldn't hurt. I wouldn't be able to concentrate without it, I mean how would he find out, anyways? He'd have no proof.

When I was done eating and getting ready, I got up and walked to the training grounds.

"You're late." Sakura pointed out. "What happened?" she asked.

"Well, I thought since the sensei would probably be late I could, too. Extra rest is good." I said, then sat down on a rock and crossed my arms.

"Sakura, will you go eat ramen with me after the mission?" Naruto asked.

"No!" Sakura shouted at the poor lad.

"Why not? I'll pay!" Naruto said.

"I'd rather go with someone else."

"But he doesn't like you!"

"What did you say?!"

"S-Sakura, I didn't mean to-"

"You didn't mean to what? Offend me?!"

"Exactly!"

"Well too late!"

I sighed. They talked way too much, they were kind of annoying, too. I rolled my eyes and sighed once more. I saw Sasuke acting like I was. I walked over and sat next to him.

"Are they always like this?" I asked.

"Yes, Naruto's such a loser." Sasuke sighed.

"And Sakura?"

"She's annoying." he grumbled, crossing his arms. I rested my chin on my hand and sighed. Things were silent for a moment.

"Hey, Fubuki?" I heard. I looked up to see Sakura.

"Could I sit next to Sasuke?" she asked.

I shrugged, then got up and walked back to the giant boulder. I lay on it, trying to ignore Sakura's bickering with Naruto.

"Hey guys!" Kakashi said.

"YOU'RE LATE!" Naruto and Sakura said in unison. I got up from the boulder and walked over.
"Well, there was a black cat and so I crossed a different path...."

"Quit it, what's the mission?" I asked.

"Well. The mission involves three bells. Which are on me. There are four of you. You guys need to retrieve the bells. When you do, you get food." Kakashi said.

That's why we couldn't have breakfast.

"Hah, I had breakfast anyways." I stated.

Sakura looked at me in disbelief.

"Wise choice, Fubuki." Kakashi said to me. I smirked.

"Let's get started now." Kakashi said. "Time starts....Now."

I quickly hid in a tree, Sakura hid in a bush, I don't know where Sasuke went.

I backed up a little in the tree's cavity, then realized I wasn't alone. I looked over to see Sasuke. I shrugged it off and looked back at Kakashi. Naruto didn't hide.

"Okay, you and me, right now, fair and square!" Naruto shouted.

I rolled my eyes. I couldn't watch this. I turned my back and started devising a plan.

Plan 1) I could team up with Sasuke, Sakura and Naruto. Naruto could distract him, Sakura could team up with Sasuke and I could snatch the keys while Kakashi was helpless, or vise versa. Whatever would work.

Plan 2) I could fight him, then make a shadow clone to sneak up behind him. No, that was too risky. The jutsu would take away chakra I needed.

Plan 3) I had none.

Plan one had to work, it was the only way for us to succeed.

I looked at Sasuke.

"Hey, want to work together?" I asked. "We could use Naruto and Sakura, too, we could-"

"You guys would slow me down." he said. I sighed.

I went down to Sakura in the bush.

"Would you like to work with me-"

"Is Sasuke working with you, too?"

"No but-"

"Then no."

I sighed, then walked to Naruto, who was hanging from a tree. I threw a kunai and let him down.

"Would you like to work with-" before I could finish my sentence, he was gone. I sighed, then went up into a tree and looked down at Kakashi. I jumped down at him, throwing five kunai in the air and five kunai at him. He dodged all kunai, the five kunai in the air canceling each other out and landing in the ground near his feet, the last one being directed at him. Like in the academy. It cut his arm, then he disappeared. I looked all around me, then felt something pull on my foot.

He pulled me into the ground. I cried out in anger.

No one helped me out, since no one saw me there. I tried wiggling myself out, but it was hard.
A long time past before I finally broke free.

I got up on my feet, my eyes dark, I was pissed. My fists clenched together, and I went in the trees, looking down for any signs of Kakashi, Sakura, Sasuke or Naruto.

"Time is up!" Kakashi said, I cussed mentally.

Crap.

I failed.
