33: Akatsuki Mission

The next morning, I awoke to my bed moving. I sat up and saw Hidan kicking my bed.
"Get the fuck ready. You're a chick, so I thought you'd take longer to get ready. The mission is in one damned hour." Hidan said, then left. Thank god he got me up early. I took a shower, then brushed my hair. I put on my clothes and my cloak, and was ready in a half hour. I walked out of the base and stood on the river, waiting for my team. They walked out.
"Eh, you're readier earlier than I thought." Hidan stated, then walked over.
I just nodded.
"You don't talk much." Hidan said.
It's because I didn't want to get close to anyone. And I had my emotion ripped out when Sasuke left.
I didn't reply.
We started walking, then I realized I didn't even know what the mission was.
"What's the mission?" I asked.
"To steal a dead body and get money for it." Kakuzu said.
"Eh. Well, what does the Akatsuki do, anyways?" I asked.
"We can't tell you." Kakuzu replied. I frowned mentally. I shook it off and kept on walking.
An hour later, Hidan groaned.
"How long is the fucking trip?" he asked Kakuzu.
"Well, it's in the Land of Waves so it'll take a while." Kakuzu answered. The Land of Waves.....
That's where we had to go to escort the bridge builder, Tazuna.
"You and your damn obsession with money." Hidan grumbled. He slowed down, and then realized he was walking next to me now. "Hey, chick." he said. I looked at him with a blank expression.
"Hm?" I asked.
"You're a Mayuko, right?" he asked. I nodded. "Ah, yeah that's why they had Itachi fucking train you. With the shitty Genjutsu." he shook his head.
"Genjutsu is not shitty." I replied.
"It's cheap. It's not real fighting, when you don't actually inflict pain." Hidan shrugged.
"No, you do inflict pain. But you can chose how much pain, I can actually inflict physical pain to an enemy if I want with my kooriamgan." I replied, smirking.
"That's better." Hidan said. "Jashin would really like someone like you." Hidan replied.
"Who's Jashin?" I asked.
"My fucking lord." he answered simply.
"And what must we do to please the lord?" I asked, rolling my eyes a little.
"Sacrifice." Hidan said.
I thought about it for a moment. "I'm not into commitments like that." I replied.
"It'll make you immortal." Hidan said, his violet eyes on me for a moment.
"Not for me." I replied. I didn't care for living forever. I have nothing to live forever for, except for fighting. But I'm not fighting forever. Just until I die. That's not forever, that's just my whole life.
"Hm." Hidan said, I'm surprised I didn't set off his temper.
I just kept walking.
Eventually, we reached the waters.
"I am not fucking walking on water all the way there." Hidan stated, shaking his head.
"We're not. That's why it's an advantage Fubuki is here." Kakuzu said. I looked at them, then stepped on the water.
"Step around me." I ordered. They got in. I made a circle with my chakra. I sat at one part at the edge of the circle and put my hand in, the circle started moving at a fast speed to were we needed to be. I was pushing off with a water jutsu, it was a hard job but I figured it out, it was really complicated.
Finally, we got there. We walked into the forest.
I can't believe they were so lazy to make me use some of my chakra. Lazy sons of bitches.
The whole time we were walking, I decided to make myself busy. I started reading a lightning scroll, I had found out with Itachi that my next element was lightning. I was just trying to find out how to use it.
"We set up base camp here." Kakuzu said, we didn't bring anything. They didn't need anything for sleeping, and I figured it would be a hassle to carry everywhere. I just sat down at the fire Kakazu made.
I knew Kakuzu was good at a lot of elements, so I looked at him.
"Kakazu?" I asked.
"Yes?" he asked in his dark voice.
"Can you teach me lightning jutsu?" I asked.
"You owe me." he replied. I nodded.
"What would you like?" I asked.
"Money."
Of course. Why did I ask.
That night, Kakuzu taught me the way to get lightning to flare up. So, I started using it just to practice. I applied it to my jutsu, then started training on how to use it with water. Satisfied, I went back and fell asleep next to the fire.
The next morning, we got up and looked around, I yawned.
"Fubuki, behind you!" Hidan shouted.
