My eyes fluttered open, I heard the steady beat of a heart monitor. The room around me was white. I sighed, realizing exactly where I was. The hospital.
"Fuck." I groaned, sitting up. I felt a pain shoot through my chest. "Ahahhhaaa!" I screamed, squinting my eye and biting down on my lip in agony. I lay back, the pain subsided by a twinge.
"Don't strain yourself. It'll just make it worse." Sakura stated, walking in. I looked up at her, my eyes hard.
"How was the mission?" I asked, more like demanded.
Sakura sighed and sat on the chair next to my bed, her hand going over my chest. Her hand glowed with chakra as she healed my wounds.
"Failure." she said, biting her lip.
I wasn't struck too hard by these words. I knew something like that would happen. "What happened?" I asked.
"After Sasuke knocked you out, he started laughing at how much you gave in to him." Sakura stated, then paused, her eyes adverting to the floor. I shook my head angrily. "He said you never let go."
"I did let go. A long time ago. His brother and him are such..." I said, then stopped talking all together. Sakura looked up when I said 'brother'.
"You met him?" she asked.
"Go back to the story." I snapped. She shrugged it off and thought for a moment.
"Then, we tried fighting but we couldn't do it. You stood up and started to glow some icy blue color, the color of your Kooriamgan. You walked over to Sasuke, you were going to kill him. We screamed at you to stop, then you fainted." Sakura explained.
My heart practically stopped at her words. I felt the fear trickle up my neck.
"What?" I asked in a low whisper.
"Yeah, it was weird." Sakura frowned. I got up and felt the shooting pain, I lay back down.
"Tsunade's letting you stay. She knows you tried." Sakura explained, standing up.
"Wait." I said, she stopped and turned around. "Me trying alone would never make her agree to have me stay. What did you do?" I asked. She stopped, eyes widening slightly, then she let out a small laugh.
"You're smarter than you look sometimes." she looked down. "She was given a full review by Ishiko."
I was so embarrassed. My anger flared.
"Pity? She gave me PITY?!" I was pissed. I stood up, ignoring the pain. "I don't need pity." I said, she could see my pain-stricken eyes.
I left without a word and went to the location of the Akatsuki base. I stood outside and decided to call someone I didn't think I'd call.
"Hidan!" I called.
No answer. He probably couldn't hear me.
"HIDAN!" I screamed.
I waited for five minutes. The rock moved and Hidan slid from underneath, walking up to me.
"Damn, girl. You don't need a fuckin' megaphone to hear you." He muttered. I smirked, then sighed.
"I know you've probably had no experience in this, but could you help me?" I asked. He thought about it, then nodded.
Me and him had talked a lot over the two years I was in the Akatsuki, so he was alright with this.
"You were with stupid fuck's little brother?" Hidan asked, making me bite my lip to suppress a giggle at how he said it.
"Yes." I sighed.
"Wow, he did that to you? What a fucking bitch." Hidan muttered. "I mean, I don't know if I would do something like that. But, I can be a bitch so.....Hmm..." he thought about it. "It would depend on Jashin-sama's thoughts." Hidan replied. He started playing with his retractable pike, he set the black sharp object next to him then looked at me.
"Exactly. I wanted to kill him right then and there." I replied.
"You'd be a good Jashinist."
"Immortality is not my thing."
Hidan sighed, then moved his scythe. He hit himself in the back of the head with one of the blades on the scythe, but he didn't split his head open.
"Fucking bitch ass retarded fuck!" he shouted at the scythe, I started laughing. He looked over at me, rubbing the back of his head in pain. "I'd get fucking pissed at your ass right now but that's the first time I've heard you laugh." he said. I cleared my throat and shook my head, I stopped laughing.
"You're right." I replied.
"You know, Leader doesn't give a fuck that I'm talking to you." Hidan said to me, his purple eyes looking at me.
"Figured." I replied, shrugging. "I mean, I obeyed his orders." I replied.
"So, about Gay sauce," Hidan said, making fun of Sasuke's name. I burst out laughing at that one. He grinned. "Are you going to allow them to put you on another mission to save his sorry ass?"
"I don't know." I replied. "I would love to rejoin the Akatsuki, but Tsunade would flip out at me and for sure not let me in. Fuck." I groaned. Then, looked over at him. "You're rubbing off on me, did I tell you that?"
"How?" he asked, snorting.
"Just pay attention to what I say." I shrugged. He grinned.
"It's so lonely without you, Kakuzu is still a pain to deal with. All the bounty shit is pissing me off." he sighed.
"Dear Jashin, what I would have to make this world simple for me." I groaned.
"I know how you feel." Hidan said, then paused. "Did you say 'dear Jashin'?"
I paused, then slapped myself in the head.
"Fuck, I did."
"Wow, I think I have rubbed off on you." Hidan murmured, I smirked.
