“Sasuke.” I whispered. He stopped walking to look back at me.
“Not again.” I managed to choke out.
It has been half a year since Sayomi risked her life to save us, and my sister was successful in her missions. Sasuke got better, so did I. We went back to regular missions, Yuki was able to join a group to train with. Everything was going perfect, but it just crumbled before my eyes.
I knew what was happening.
Sasuke didn’t answer, just kept on walking. “You’ll understand later.” he snapped, looking back at me with a hostile expression.
“W-what did I do?” I asked quietly, then something lit in my head. “WHAT DID I DO?!”
Sasuke turned to me, his eyes couldn’t meet mine. He didn’t allow them to. “You prevented me from leaving for the last couple of months. You should have let me go.”
“You promised you wouldn’t.” I replied, walking up to him. He shook his head. I bit my lip. “You know what, leave.” I said bitterly. “LEAVE.”
Sasuke didn’t move for a moment, he was studying me. I wasn’t moving either, showing no sign of emotion. He sighed, then turned away.
“I’ll see you later.” he whispered.
“No, you won’t. I’ll be gone.” I snapped.
He smirked, then disappeared before my eyes.
Angrily, I walked out the village gates. In my own backpack, I flipped it so it was on my stomach. I took out something now precious to me.
My Akatsuki cloak.
I put it on, switching my headband with the scarred one.
“Joining again?” I heard, I turned to see Deidara. His hair was messed up
“Yes, I am. What’s wrong with your hair?”
He had an annoyed expression. “Shit happens. I’m just getting off a mission, Sasori is supposed to meet me here. Leader-sama will be happy that you’re joining again.”
I nodded. “So, Sasori is keeping you waiting? What a first.”
“It sucks.” I heard a deep voice growl, I turned to see Sasori in his body called “Hiruko”. I nodded.
“I can bet. Let’s go.” I said, Sasori nodded. We all started walking back to the base.
“What happened?” Sasori asked me, knowing I was coming back for a reason.
“Life.” I muttered.
Sasori chuckled, Deidara murmured his famous quote: Hm.
I ended up being accepted back, but not into a team. Not yet. I would be my own team, which surprised me. Did leader-sama think I needed time to think things over? Or did he just want me killed?
No, he wouldn’t want me killed. He kind of implied he wanted me to think. Odd, because I thought he’d try to prevent me from ever leaving.
I ignored Itachi, though he still gave me hate filled stares. I pretended like I didn’t care, when inside I was freaking out. He was creepy.
“Fubuki.” Leader-sama said, walking up to me. I looked up at him.
“Yes?” I asked, patiently. I put down the book of jutsu and folded my hands on my lap.
“I want you to take this scroll to the Sound Village. Deliver it to Orochimaru.” Leader said, I raised my eyebrow at him. I had been back for three months, and he promised me when I first came here that I wouldn’t have to do anything involving Orochimaru.
“I thought...” I then shook my head and got up. “Fine.” I said, bitterly. I walked out to the front.
“You don’t have to until tomorrow morning-“
I cut him off rudely. “I want to get it over with.” I said, if I had stayed here the night, I wouldn’t have slept anyways. I was already rested, for I just woke up from a nap.
I took out my Akatsuki hat and put it on, it was raining. My fingers were numb from the cold, but so was my mind from the thoughts of having to be around that horrid area. I bit my lip and shook my head, starting to jump through the trees of the forest. Should I use a genjutsu to change my face? If I did, Orochimaru or Sasuke would see right through it. It would only portray me as someone who didn’t like facing her fears.
Though I doubt I’d call this a fear. I’d call this being forced to meet people who have ruined my life, and I prefer not to be around them for the fact that I’d try to kill them.
Easy as that.
I slipped of a tree branch, losing my balance and falling back. Skillfully, like Kakuzu taught me (he taught me how to be more observant, aware, and careful. It costed a lot, but it was worth it), I swung my leg around a smaller branch next to the bigger one I slipped off of, and threw a kunai with a string connected to it up in the higher branches. I swung forward, unlatching my foot and landing on the dryer part of the tree.
Kunai flew at me, I dodged them easily without my kooriamgan. I caught one of the kunai, placing a microscopic bomb on it and throwing it back. It exploded, then I turned my Kooriamgan. There were no more heartbeats, the enemies were dead.
I continued, my eyes scanning every section of the forest. I could sense the chakra, and I knew one of Orochimaru’s minions were training here. I avoided him, and walked around to Orochimaru’s base.
I let out a sigh, my eyes flickering.
I wonder how this would go.
