“Yuki, focus.” I said, sitting in a tree. I was watching her train. It was two months into the training, and I wasn’t getting any younger. In fact, I probably had bags under my eyes and wrinkles from all this.
“I am!” she whined, glaring up at me. She let out a huff.
“No you’re not, you’re being lazy.” I said, without a hint of emotion in my voice. I was trying to keep calm.
“I’m not!”
“Yuki, just keep on training.”
“I am!”
“Yuki, you’re slicing away the last string holding my sanity together....” I warned.
“Well, sorry!”
“YUKI, GOD DAMNIT.” I jumped from the tree, and stormed over to her. I pointed violently to the log twenty feet away from us. “YOU.” I then pointed to her. “THROW.” I made a large motion with my arm to the log. “KUNAI!” I took out a kunai from my pocket, waving it in the air. “AT THAT LOG!” I pointed back at the log.
She frowned. “Why didn’t you say so?”
I just stared at her. I blinked twice. “Nevermind...” I sighed, walking back to the tree.
Yuki threw a kunai at the log, it passed it.
“Don’t worry, I know you can do it.” I said, I was trying to make it seem like I wasn’t pissed anymore. I couldn’t help it, I could get so pissed off.
She sighed, closing her eyes for a moment. When she reopened them, her eyes were shining with confidence. She threw it again, and made the target. She squealed, jumping up in the air and clapping her hands.
“Did I learn faster than Daisuke?” she asked, her eyes joyful.
“Not quite.” a voice called from a distance, Daisuke walked out of the trees. He was wearing his new ANBU outfit, he was instantly accepted back to the force.
Yuki pouted. “But I’m still really good, right, big brother?” she asked, her eyes hopeful. He chuckled and walked over to her, hugging her.
“Of course.” he chuckled, ruffling her hair. She laughed, her arms wrapping around him as well.
Yuki had got along with all of us now, she knew pretty much the whole family story. Elretta taught her on the family history, Mikey told her all the stories of when we were younger, and Daisuke talked about the ranks of everyone in the family. Yuki always enjoyed these stories, I could tell.
“Why are you here, Daisuke?” I asked, curious. “Aren’t you supposed to be on a mission?”
He walked over to the tree, climbing up and sitting next to me. “Not yet. I wanted to say hi to my favorite sisters.”
“That’s not nice.” Yuki pouted.
“Why?” Daisuke asked, looking down.
“Because you didn’t say hi to Elretta.” she pointed out. He grinned.
“Who said I didn’t?” he asked, jumping back out of the tree.
“Well you didn’t say that!” Yuki sighed, exasperated.
Daisuke looked up at the sky, then looked back at Yuki. “I have to go now. Don’t stress Fubuki out too much, she’s not good at teaching this easily. She was taught the hard way.” he said, then left. I cringed. I was. I was taught by the Akatsuki, before that I tested myself to the limit.
Yuki cringed as well, she knew what I went through. She looked over to me, then softly smiled.
“Sorry, Fubuki.” she said.
“No problem.” I said, then leaned my head against the branch. I sighed. I missed Sasuke.
I heard the crunch of wood. I opened my eyes to see that Yuki had chopped the log of wood in half, a huge accomplishment. I smiled.
“Nice job!” I complimented.
The next month was easier, she had ninjutsu down just fine. Taijutsu got better each day, it was just genjutsu now. She had the Mayuko blood, so genjutsu shouldn’t be too difficult for her.
“Okay, you remember what I told you?” I asked her, she nodded nervously. “Hold onto it, don’t be afraid.”
She sighed, then turned on her kooriamgan. It flashed, she stumbled back and held her eyes, she let out a howl. I immediately ran over to her.
She started laughing, throwing me off guard. “It feels different.” she opened her eyes, I smiled automatically. I hugged her.
“Nice.” I commented. “Now, train with that and I’ll buy us ramen for dinner.” I gave her a thumbs up. She nodded, I walked back over to my tree. Before Kakashi had left, he had given me the mission list just incase I needed them. I had an idea. I opened the scroll. I looked over the missions, then grinned.
“Bikou!” I called out, in a flash, he was right next to me.
“Deliver this to Kakashi, please.” I said, handing him a scroll. He looked it over.
“Are you sure this won’t get anyone killed?” he asked, looking over the scroll once more.
“Positive. I know it will work out.” I said firmly. He nodded, then turned into a dog. Shadow.
“Put it on my back.” Shadow said, I took out one of the purple ribbons he had given me last week and tied the scroll around him with it. I tightened it, then put a chakra string around it so it didn’t fall. He grinned.
“Is that good?” I asked, he nodded.
“I should be back in six to seven days, they are in Suna. The trip from here to Suna is about three days long.” he said, I nodded.
“Be safe.” I wearily said, I didn’t want him hurt. He nodded, then left without another word. This would be interesting.
