14: The Forest Of Death

We ran in, instantly we heard screams shoot through the forest.

"That sounds like someone screaming." Sakura stated, fearful.

"Hold on a second...I gotta....y'know...." Naruto ran to a bush and was about to pee, until Sakura came behind from him and slammed him on the head.

"What d you think this is, a kennel? Not in front of Fubuki and I, go somewhere else!" she shouted. I sat down at a tree, silently. When he came back, I noticed something different about him. The scratch Anko had given him earlier was gone.

"Phew, I drew my whole name!" he said, he walked over to us. I walked over to Sasuke and Sakura.

"That's gross!" Sakura scolded. Sasuke made the first move, he slammed 'Naruto' back. I gripped onto the fake Naruto.

"Sasuke, Fubuki! It wasn't that bad!" Sakura said, her eyes wide.

"Where's the real Naruto?" Sasuke asked.

"What are you talking about! Sakura, be careful, they've gone crazy!" the imposter spoke.

"Then where's the scratch?" I asked, my grip tightening.

"And your pack is on the different leg." Sasuke stated. The imposter poofed into the other ninja.

"You caught me." the man said, he kicked me into a tree. I prevented smashing my head by stopping the blow with my arms. My left arm hurt more, though.

I tried getting up, but the pain spread. Sakura walked over to me and helped me sit up.

Sasuke was busy fighting the imposter.

"Fubuki, get your ass up! Sakura, don't just stand there! This guy has other men in his squad!" Sasuke shouted at us.

"No....I came along...I shouldn't have..." the man said and left. We found the real Naruto tied up, he walked over to us.

"We need a password so that doesn't happen again." Sasuke said.

"Okay!" Sakura said, smiling at the Uchiha.

"Let me make it up." Sasuke said.

"Hell no, I am." I snapped, my eyes hard. I had the meanest look I could muster.

He hesitated.

"Make it good and long." he finally said.

"When the day turns to night,

is the best time a ninja can strike,

steal his weapons and leave him defenseless,

and destroy him for being utterly careless." I said. [AN: if it sucks, sorry. I just made it up five seconds ago]

"Got it." Sakura and Sasuke said.

"I thought it would be a password, not a pass...code." Naruto said, he acted like he got it though, which worried me.

A gust of wind came, splitting everyone up. But I saw Sakura near, so thinking Sasuke was with her and probably Naruto, I walked over.

"Hey-" I paused when I noticed Naruto gone. Naruto ran up.

"I'm here!" he said.

"Wait, what's the password?" Sakura demanded.

"Oh, easy. When the day turns to night,

is the best time a ninja can strike,

steal his weapons and leave him defenseless,

and destroy him for being utterly careless." Naruto said. Sakura sighed in relief. I thought for a moment, that didn't seem right.....

"You're not Naruto." Sasuke said, knowingly.

"Huh? I said it right! Naruto protested.

"The reason I wanted the password to be long was because I knew Naruto wouldn't be able to memorize it. From someone watching, they wouldn't know the struggle he'd have with that. You'd have a better change teaching that password to a hamster." Sasuke stated.

That's why it didn't seem like him......

The Naruto licked its lips. It had a female voice. "Very clever." she purred. She changed into that freaky snake lady.

We were ready to fight her.

"Looking for this?" she purred.

Her tongue swirled up, wrapping around the scroll. She pushed it down her throat, saliva dripping down it. She swallowed it whole. She frightened me badly.

"In the end, one of us will have the scroll. And the other will be dead." she stated, shocking us.

Then, all of a sudden, I was cut everywhere. The blood pooled out of every wound, I bled to death on the floor, the feeling being drained out of me. The blood slowly pooled, my eyes half lidded. I was too defenseless to stop my own death. She slit my arms and legs downwards.

I gasped out of the illusion, it got to me mostly. It practically traced my left arm wound. I shook, I was too shocked to move. A small whimper escaped my lips, I realized I was lying on the floor, curled up. Sakura was crying, kneeling. Sasuke was getting up, he could barely move. He threw up on the floor. He called Sakura's name. She couldn't answer. He called my name. I couldn't answer either. The lady snickered, she threw a kunai at Sasuke.

He stabbed himself in the leg.

I realized his strategy. He was replacing fear with pain. He then jumped and grabbed me in his arms, his warmth brought me back to life. I stood up on my own, pointing to Sakura and motioning him to her. He grabbed her, and we went up inside a tree. Sakura and I were facing Sasuke. Sakura looked at his leg and gasped.

"Sasuke, that's deep-" Sakura was cut off by Sasuke's hand. Sasuke took the kunai out and winced. I heard something behind me, I was also about to protest, then Sasuke covered my mouth. I started shaking his hand.

"Sasuke watch out!" Sakura protest, Sasuke's sharingan eyes turned in shock.

He finally saw a giant snake.

We all dodged the massive bite, it went after Sasuke.

"Ahhh! No! Stay away!" Sasuke screamed, throwing shuriken at the massive snake.

We moved out of the way, the lady came out of the snake head. She grinned.

I sat back, clutching a kunai in fear. Sasuke fought her while Sakura stood back, I couldn't fight. I was still scared.

The lady swirled up the tree and to Sasuke, she was stopped by weaponry.

Naruto had came.

"Looks like I came just in time!" Naruto said, arms crossed on a tree branch.

"Naruto!" Sakura cheered.

"Oh and by the way....What was the password again?" Naruto asked.
