“What were you reading?” I asked Sasuke, he shook his head quickly.
“Nothing.”
“Bullshit.” I muttered, starting to walk over to the book with an orange cover. I felt arms wrap around me. Sasuke put his mouth next to my ear.
“How about we go upstairs?” he purred.
“You’re not going to seduce me into forgetting.” I sang, then wiggled out of his grasp and went for the book once more. He grasped my hand, pulling me back. I smirked. With mu other hand, I did a hand jutsu, creating a clone. My clone grabbed the book, and held it up so I could read the title. My jaw dropped.
Makeout Paradise.
“....The fuck?!” I questioned, raising my eyebrow at Sasuke. His cheeks were a bright red.
“I-...I-I-I, well K-Kakashi-sensei always read i-it and I w-w-was cur-curious so I-I-I-I-.......He let me b-borrow it because h-he said I was old e-enough and....I kind of.....Like it....” he stammered, his voice getting quieter and quieter. He acted like a little kid who was caught doing something they shouldn’t have been doing. I bit my lip, holding back a laugh.
“Okay.” I answered, it was so hard not to grin. But it was so funny, in so many ways.
He quietly took the book. I have never seen him act like this.
“If it makes you feel better, I’d be interested to read it.” I said, just to make him happier. He smirked.
“You would?”
“Mmhmm.” no.
“Will you tell anyone?”
“No.” depends.
“Promise?”
I grinned, and walked away.
“Answer!” he called, I looked back and did the heart sign with my hands. He shook his head, I walked into the bathroom and sat down on the counter. I took out a scroll from my back pocket and skimmed it. I had a new mission from Tsunade, and I didn’t want Sasuke to see it. He wouldn’t allow me to go on the mission. He said he didn’t want me on missions since I might be preggers. But, I wanted to see the mission. I was just curious.
“Hmmm....” I murmured, the mission was simple enough. Just escort a princess to the land of clouds. No biggy, I could do this easy.
I got off the counter, slipped the scroll into my pack, and walked outside. I wrapped my arms around the neck of my love.
“Hey, I’m not forgiving you.” he said, he wasn’t really acting like himself. It was pretty funny. I smiled.
“Oh sweety, you don’t have to.” I said, then ran my hand down his arm. I entwined our fingers. “But, I have a little news.”
“What?” he asked, curiosity lighting up his face.
“Tsunade wants me to go on this simple mission.” I explained. Before I could finish my sentence, he was already shaking his head disapprovingly. Little twerp.
“No.” Sasuke said. I let out a sigh.
“Look, I don’t think I am, y’know...” I didn’t want to say pregnant. “And if I was, I have teammates on this mission. I just want to do this one mission. I’ll be gone for two weeks, and then when I come home I will tell you if I am or not since two weeks is how long it takes to find out, and the mission is conveniently that long.”
He shook his head wordlessly, yet grabbed onto my wrist. He dragged me to the Hokage’s office. We walked past a bunch of curious people, I just kept my eyes to the ground and muttered to myself how much of an idiot my boyfriend was.
Sasuke through the door open and nudged me in gently. He walked up to Tsunade’s desk and set his hand on it. Tsunade looked up at him curiously.
“Yes?” she asked.
“Fubuki can’t go on missions, so don’t assign any to her.” Sasuke stated.
“Why?”
“She’s pregnant.”
I looked up. “Hey, no! I might be. MIGHT. There’s a difference between maybe being and definitely being.” I argued. Tsunade looked at me, eyes wide.
“Well, if you are I don’t think you should risk its life.” Tsunade reasoned. Shizune nodded, Tonton oinked.
“Bullshit, I might not be. And hey, what’s the worse that can happen for this?” I crossed my arms.
“This is ANBU level, Fubuki.” Tsunade pointed out.
“But I’m ANBU already, you assigned me as one. At least give me a simple A-rank!” I pleaded. Tsunade scoffed.
“No!”
“B-Ranked?”
“No.”
“Please, that’s the lowest I’ll go!”
“No.”
“If the tests of my pregnancy read negative, I’m going to be pissed.” I huffed, walking out the door. Sasuke followed, grabbing my wrist. I shook him off.
“Fubuki, you can’t be mad.” Sasuke growled.
“And why not?”
“Because.....Because....” he sighed, and walked away. “ Never mind.” he said, leaving me to wonder. I wanted to find out what he meant.
