My eyes widened, me and my beloved friend locked eyes. She gave me a sad smile, and walked to the stairs. I stepped on the railing and jumped down, landing gracefully on my feet. I walked up to her.

“Hey.” she said, smiling sadly. Her eyes showed sadness as well.

“Don’t go easy on me.” I said, my eyes as sad as hers.

The battle begun, she kicked my side, which I dodged. I leaped forward, dodging the hit and shoving her over. She landed on the floor and kicked my legs out from under me.

“Kooriamgan!” I said, my eyes flashing to my kekkei genkai. I could see her movements. I didn’t want to hurt her that bad. I backed up and felt some horrible pain on my back, I screamed and collapsed. I turned to see a shadow clone had put a paper bomb on me when I wasn’t looking. I staggered up, slicing the clone’s arm. It poofed away, then I looked over to Eiko.

“I’m sorry.” I whispered. “Fear.” I said.

She was trapped into a mind game. Spiders surrounded her, they started biting her. She screamed, clutching her head.

“GET THEM OFF OF ME!!!!” she shouted, she flailed around, until she finally collapsed.

“The winner is Fubuki Mayuko!” the man said, I turned my head as the medical ninjas got her.

I walked up the stairs and stood there, my hands were shaking.

“Why would you do that?” Sakura asked me, I turned to her and gave her a small smile.

“It was that or physical pain.” I said, turning my kooriamgan off.

“What do you mean?” she asked, her eyebrows knitting together in confusion.

“My kekkei genkai can inflict pain, so much pain you pass out, it can be genjutsu or regular ninjutsu. I don’t know the genjutsu one yet, the other one would have made her end up with broken bones.” I said. I felt my head rush, the floor met my head in a swirl. I was out. I had used more chakra then I thought.

I woke up in a medical room, I sat up and looked around.

“What happened?” I asked.

“You’re okay, that’s all that matters.” I turned to see Mikey.

“Did I pass?” I asked. “Did you pass?”

“We both passed. You also passed out and missed the rest of the action.” he said.

“Who’d you fight?” I asked.

“Some sound ninja guy.” he said, shrugging.

“How long have I been passed out for?” I asked.

“A week.” he shrugged.

“A WEEK?! I ONLY HAVE THREE WEEKS TO TRAIN!” I screamed, getting up and jumping out the window. I used chakra to prevent my fall from killing me.

“Fubuki, get a grip!” My brother screamed, sticking his head out of the window. He rolled his eyes and went around the hospital. He didn’t get why I was so frantic, if he was in this position he would be freaking out, I knew him way better than he thought.

I walked into an open clearing and opened the water scroll.

At the end of the day, I had learned a couple really good water jutsu. I also learned how to inflict pain as a genjutsu. I was ready.

Each day I trained harder and harder. Some days I passed out in the forest, my brother had to come and get me. He was pissed, but he forgave me.

He ended up moving out, since the Hokage gave him a free apartment. He still visited. Every day. He and I became closer. Him and Eiko even became friends.

Eiko was forgiving, she actually enjoyed the fact I had beat her. She thought it was a hell of a match and that she didn’t even need to pass yet, anyways.

Sasuke and I hadn’t talked at all since the exams. It made me wonder what he was doing.

We already knew who we were fighting. I was fighting someone named Kinuyo Sidaki.

She didn’t sound so tough. I heard she was good with flower jutsu. Odd.

Well, the exams came faster than I thought. I was first up to fight, which was odd.

Today was the day for the exams, I was on my way with my brother. I smiled at him, he smiled back.

We reached the arena, I walked in and smiled, I saw my apponent come hither as well.

“Get ready.” Kinuyo said, her eyes soft.

Hm, she didn’t seem so evil.

The match started.

“VINE DANCE!” she snickered, vines shot out from her hands and wrapped around me. My eyes widened in shock and pain. The vines had thorns in them. I mean four inch long thorns.

I screamed in pain.

“Water release: Gunshot!” I whimpered, doing hand signs. I spit out balls of water, these water balls were as affective as bullets. They were about as big as my mouth. She dodged them, making the thorns go deeper. I screamed in pain, but kept at it. It eventually hit her in the stomach. She collapsed, her vines dying off of me. I ran at her while she was still dazed, my legs hurt like hell. But this wasn’t over.

“Water prison jutsu!” I said, trapping her in a water vortex with the hand signs: Sheep, serpent, tiger, rabbit, serpent, dragon, rabbit, and bird. I stuck my hand in the water sphere.

“This will end it.” I growled, she was stuck in the water. She tried to breathe, but sucked in water. She passed out after a moment, I let the jutsu go. I had won. My legs ached, I looked down and saw blood was seeping out of the scars. I felt myself get light headed.

I was urged into the hospital.
