I broke in Orochimaru’s lair, pulling my hat down lower so I was guaranteed to not be recognized. My hand clenched onto the scroll.
“Oh? Who are you?” Kabuto asked, I didn’t answer. I just lifted up the scroll. “Oh, okay. This way, then.” he said, leading me somewhere. I was surprised he didn’t kill me when he saw me randomly walking in.
We walked into a large room, I heard voices that I recognized.
“Sasuke, I am so glad you’re training is going well.”
“Tch.” was Sasuke’s reply, followed with a grumble. He was in his usual mood.
“Who is that?” Orochimaru asked, I knew he was gesturing to me. Sasuke was right next to him, looking straight at me. I walked over, handing Orochimaru the scroll.
“From the Akatsuki.” Kabuto said. Orochimaru chuckled.
“Do you know a girl by the name of Fubuki Mayuko?” he asked me, I didn’t know what to respond. I was shocked. I just nodded, not showing my appearance. “Take off your hat, I want to see you.”
“My orders weren’t not to show you my face, but to show you my scroll.” I said, changing my voice so it sounded unlike me.
“Ohh, an interesting one you are. If you need training, you may stay here. I would like an ex-Akatsuki member.” Orochimaru chuckled, his voice making my skin crawl.
“That isn’t-“ I stopped talking when Sasuke started to.
“Hn. I knew it was you.”
My eyes widened. He had probably turned his sharingan on.
I took off my hat and looked at him bitterly. “This is no more than a mission.” I snapped. He smirked.
“You wanted this mission just to see me.”
“My leader-sama told me I had to be the one to do this. Grow up, shut up and get out of here if you can’t keep your mouth shut.” I seethed, Orochimaru laughed.
“Ohh, how interesting. A little quarrel between ex lovers.” his expression was purely amused.
“I’m going to leave.” I started walking to the exit, the doors shut before I could leave. The windows sealed themselves. My eyes widened. I turned to look at Orochimaru. He threw the scroll at me. I read it.
The scroll stated that the deliverer was supposed to give the scroll to someone with the same power. The person who is controlled by the retriever of the scroll would fight the deliverer.
I dropped the scroll, it rolled over to Sasuke’s feet.
I had to fight Sasuke.
I knew Orochimaru would pick him, since Sasuke opened his mouth.
Damn! I growled, my eyes turning into slits.
“This is a fight to the death.” Orochimaru said, amused. I shook my head.
“I refuse.” I answered simply. My hands were shaking, but not with anger.
With fear.
I didn’t want to fight Sasuke, he was one to fight rough with people he didn’t like. He’d do anything to take the opponent down. And the opponent was me. I was going to get really hurt, and I knew I would not get out of here alive. I did not want to kill Sasuke, no matter how much I detested him. I just couldn’t imagine killing him....Causing his heart to stop, causing his blood to go cold.
Having his blood on my hands.
Preventing his clan from living on.
Dying without avenging his clan’s death.
I didn’t want this.
I backed up, shaking my head. I let out a growl, seeing Sasuke drew his sword.
“The fight starts....Now.” Orochimaru said simply, knowing Sasuke, he wasn’t going to refuse one bit.
He charged at me, slamming his hand onto my side, his speed was incredible. I stumbled to the side from the huge blow, his other hand grabbing my hair and making me stay still. His sword was at my throat, its thin edge threatening to penetrate the think layer protecting my throat.
I instantly kicked him in the stomach, his sword nearly cutting through my neck. I grabbed his hand before he could finish me off, and threw him back harshly.
“You got better, I see.” Sasuke commented, circling me. I kept my eyes on him.
“You didn’t.” I commented, anger flickered in his eyes. I smirked. I had gotten to him.
I turned on my Kooriamgan.
He turned on his Sharingan.
Mayuko vs. Uchiha.
This time, I was first to charge. I felt pain in my heart for doing this, but I had to.
He dodged, grabbing the back of my shirt. He pulled me towards him, wrapping me in an embrace. I didn’t move, just waited for the pain. For the meantime, I felt like this was old times.
I didn’t move. I didn’t want to. Let the pain come.
Wait, am I against fighting or with fighting?
I guess I’m both.....
