26: Who Will Sing?

The next morning I got up and got dressed, Sasuke got up from the bed and yawned. He looked over at me and smiled. I smiled back at him, he walked up to me and wrapped his arms around me. He gave me a passionate kiss, surprising me.

“Last night was amazing.” he said, I laughed.

“I agree. Babe, we need to get to the Sakura festival.” I said.

“Okay, let’s go.” he said.

“Erm I suggest you put your clothes on, the fan girls will try to rape you.” I said, blushing. He looked down, then put on some clothes. “I’ll go get ready at my house.” I said, then kissed him. “See you later.”

He merely nodded, then let me go. I went home and dressed in my kimono, then I walked to the festival. I couldn’t walk right, though. I was still in pain. I took pain medicine before I left the house, I hoped it could help.

When I got there, I saw my squad.

Kakashi was dressed in a suit, he didn’t have his book with him this time. He looked nice. Sakura was in a bright pink kimono, Naruto was wearing a suit and so was Sasuke.

Sasuke looked amazing.

When I arrived, Sasuke’s eyes traveled me.

“You look beautiful.” he said, bringing me close to him. I giggled and hugged him back, burying my head in his chest.

“Gross.” Naruto said, shuddering. I pulled away from Sasuke and kissed him gently, then looked at Kakashi.

“Why are we here early again?” I asked.

“We were going to choose someone from each squad to sing for the festival.” Kakashi said, I bit my lip.

“Huh.” I asked, it was more of a dull statement.

“Yes, each of you will sing a section of a song for me. No matter what.” Kakashi said. We all sweat dropped.

“What!” I exclaimed, a little mad.

“You first.” Kakashi said. I shook my head. I couldn’t sing.

“You know about the Mayuko song of death? Yeah well I don’t want that to kick in any time soon.” I said to him. He shook his head.

“That song of death will only kick in if you make it.” Kakashi said. Shit. I couldn’t get myself out of it.

The song of death is when you sang and it deafened or hurt someone. It was something Granny Chinatsu had given me before she passed away. I had no idea how to use it yet.

“You first, Sakura.” Kakashi said.

“Good, but let’s see what everyone else can do.” Kakashi said, then looked at Naruto.

“BACK OFF I’LL TAKE YOU ON, HEADSTRONG TO TAKE ON ANYONE, I KNOW THAT YOU ARE WRONG AND-“ Naruto was cut off by Kakashi.

“Okay, next!” he said, trying to fix his ears. I bit my lip to hold back a laugh.

“No.” Sasuke stated.

“Yes.”

“I don’t do singing.” Sasuke shook his head.

“Too bad. Sing.” Kakashi said. Sasuke looked at him with a strong glare. Their stare lasted a good five minutes. Defeatedly, Sasuke sighed and agreed to sing.

“I'm tired of being what you want me to be

Put under the pressure of walking in your shoes.” Sasuke sang, he was really good.

“Good.” Kakashi said, then looked at me. I sighed, hesitant. I wouldn't win against Kakashi, so why not?

Anything is better than to be alone.

And in the end I guess I had to fall.

Always find my place among the ashes.

“You’re singing.” Kakashi stated.

“I don’t want to!” I groaned.

“Too bad.” Kakashi said, his seeable eye in the shape of a ^.

I sweat dropped.

“Now, you may play at the festival.” Kakashi said, I smiled at Sasuke.
