45: Shadow's True Form

I opened my eyes the next day and sat up.

“Good, you’re up.” Shadow said. I saw everyone was awake, even Naruto. He was probably pumped to find Sasuke. I scratched the back of my head nervously.

“How long have you been, erm, waiting?” I asked.

“Not long, just one minute.” Shadow said, I got up.

“Well, I’m ready.” I replied, he nodded, then led the way. We were running slower, which was good. I was able to actually run next to Shadow this time.

“There’s a little town near here, which we’ll stop by and eat at for breakfast.” Shadow said, I nodded. “We can’t skip the most important meal of the day.” he added.

I grinned.

We stopped by a village, and walked in a little restaurant. We walked in and all sat down.

“Okay, it’s on me.” Shadow said.

“You have money?” Naruto questioned.

“Yes.” Shadow replied, his eye twitching. “Don’t doubt me.”

Naruto put his hands behind his head. We gave our orders to the lady who was serving us, then I glanced to the other side of the room.

I gasped.

“What?” Ishiko asked, looking over at me.

“N-nothing! Hold on. I’m going to go uhh, stretch my legs” I said, then walked over to the man’s table. I dropped my ninja pouch. I looked at the man, he caught my eyes as well. His eyes widened.

“Fubuki?” Hidan asked.

“Turn around so when Shadow looks here he doesn’t see your face.” I hissed. “I don’t want him killing you!”

“Tch, like he could pull it off.” Hidan scoffed, but moved so his back was facing my table.

“By the way, where’s your cloak?” I asked, curious. I slowly picked up my dropped kunai’s.

“A jinchuriki ate it.” Hidan said, I started laughing.

“Sure, sure.” I chuckled. I saw he was serious. I paused. “Oh damn.”

“Exactly, fucking ass ate it!” he groaned, then looked back at my table, then back at me. “Hurry up, they’ll fucking get suspicious.”

I nodded, then waltzed back over.

When we were done eating, we got up and started walking out. I looked over at Hidan, who turned to look at me too. He nodded, I nodded back. It was kind of like a “bye, nice seeing you” thing.

A couple hours past while traveling, and Ishiko started running next to me.

“Did Tsunade asked for information on the Akatsuki?” she asked.

I flinched. “No.”

“Can you give it to me, then?” she asked.

“No.” I replied, my eyes flickered.

“Why not?” she asked, turning to give me a confused look. I bit my lip and shook my head.

“Because, I got to know them.” I replied.

She stopped.

Everyone else did, too.

“What’s going on?” Mikey asked Sakura.

“I don’t know.” she replied.

“So you’re saying that you became friends with criminals?” Ishiko asked, her voice raising.

“Is there a problem with that? I spent two fucking years, and no one bothered to look for me. What do you expect, they gave me everything! They gave me power, they gave me a reason!” I shouted back, my voice raising as well. My eyes were hardening, I crossed my arms.

“They’re evil! It’s no excuse.” She shouted.

“You’re not my mom.” I growled. “No one tells me what to do.”

“Your precious leader does!” Ishiko snapped.

“Stop it!” Sakura shouted, going in between us.

“Back off, pinky!” Ishiko snapped at her.

“Hey!” Mikey snapped at Ishiko.

“Guys, c-calm down.” Hinata said quietly.

We all kept fighting.

“GUYS!” we turned to see Naruto, he was angry. “Fubuki, you chose this team wisely. I thought you’d know to keep your cool, too.”

I was silent for a moment, then started going the direction we were supposed to. Everyone followed along, Shadow next to me.

I turned on my kooriamgan, thinking I heard something.

I gasped and slipped off the tree branch I was on, I quickly grabbed onto Shikamaru’s hand, he had put his hand down for me quickly when I fell. He helped me up.

“Thanks.” I said, then turned to Shadow.

“Human transform jutsu!” he said, he poofed into a human.

My eyes widened.

He looked at us and smirked.

“I love this technique.” he replied, then he smirked wickedly at the two rogue ninjas who were about to attack.

His hands formed multiple hand signs.

“Dog calling jutsu!” he shouted, a bunch of dogs who looked like Shadow in dog form came out and wiped the two men out. Shadow turned to look at us, he crossed his arms.

“The first Mayuko found me stuck in this jutsu. This was the day I would finally be released. I won’t age, don’t worry. And I can go back to dog form if you need.” Shadow replied, looking at me.

All the girls were blushing at him, he was pretty hot. Wait, that’s weird. He was my dog for like two years. Weird.

“You can stay in whichever form you want.” I said, surprised.

He smirked. “I prefer human for now, I have my dog abilities still.” he replied, then started proceeding. We all followed, still shocked from what he just did.
